Thread: Best resources for crafting stims???

Just wondering if anyone can help me out as far as what the best resources for crafting stims are. I can use d's since I just made Master Medic.


Even w/ usingresources w/ overall quality of850 or more and experimenting by a crafting station the base heals on the b's and c's that I craftis only usually between 120-190 roughly. I usually end up buying ones that have base heals of like 250 to over 300 and like 32 charges...but I want to save some creds and get the crafting xp...


Is there a specific resource that's better than another and is overall quality always the thing to look for, or is there something more specificly within each resource I should be looking for.

I haven't crafted any meds since the update, but I've heard overall quality and hmm... can't remmber the other thing off hand are the two most important factors now. You can find this information out by preparing to make your meds. Look on the right hand side after selecting a med to make to see what is important to it. (Effectiveness)

Also note that if you are going up against a master chemist, you aren't going to be able to make meds that are as good without the best materials. They get more experimentation points than you do and are more successful in their experimenting.

Always experiment on components if you want the best meds.

Also, advanced components will help a lot. I have used some, and they increased by Cs by more than 50 damage per use. Hope this helps.

Yeah I do experiment and check the quality on the right. But maybe the ones I'm usin' don't have enough effectiveness...I'll give it a shot. Yeah you're right about the Master Chemist thing. Didn't think of that.

The other factor that makes a big difference is Potential Energy.


Even when experimenting, I was only able to experiment 4 boxes when using bad ingredients. I have like 12 boxes when using high PE ingedients. Now I can't fill them all yet but its just a matter of time.

Anyone know where I can get those ingredieints?


I am heavy into other stuff with harvesting and would prefer buying them.

If you want more bang for your buck, both on Heal & Charges - make Advanced Components. eg, the Advanced Biological Effect Controller needs 6 Talusian Water and 6 Dantooine Berries.

Some of these resources may be harder to find on the market, but by gum they make a huge difference in the final product.

Want an example? Try a StimB that heals for 346 and has 30 Charges... And is usable at Novice Medic.

Wheat from Lok and Fibreplast from Tatooine
Dolovite Iron and Domesticated Oats
Berries from Dantooine and water from Talus
Herbivore meat and Class 4 Solid PetroChems

Need class 4 *liquid* petro ... don't want to have the poor guy triyng to get that solid stuff and not be able to use it.
