Thread: Most bang for my buck?
I'm planning out my toon's career right now, and after all is said and don I'll have 18 points left to play around with. I figured I might as well use it on medic. So 18 - 15 for novice medic= just enough to get one box in medic. What should I spend the points on, and is it even worth it? Would I be able to use good stims that I bought off other people with such low medic levels?

Well, if you took on Novice medic you would only be able to use Stim A's & B's. A stims range around 50-70 health & action heal, where as the B's would give you around 130-200 health & action, depending on the quality of meds (assumably) purchased.
Alot of people are quite happy with novice medic since B stim packs are very effective without the need of spending any more skill points, advancing up the med tree involves healing others, and alot of people who seem to be picking up the skill seem to be tanks who wantthe abilityto heal themselves.
You can use Stim B's as novice medic? Hmm may have to rethink my point allocation.
Thanks for the info....I did not know I would be able to use stim B's with just novice medic. Since I can get novice medic plus one more box, what box would I benefit from the most?

I concur, if you get only ONE medic skill above novice I'd say first aid, since you won't notice any change by taking anything else.
Now also remember, you can get some DANG good quality Stim B's. For instance, I just started producing my line of ADV Stim-B's. Mine heal for 375 H/A damage a shot. (Lots more if you've got good healing bonuses. So shop around when you buy your stims, for all stims, are not the same!
