I am a master medic and my durned surgical droid just disappeared from my datapad. I've been using him successfully since I got him with no problems. After latest pacth I called him, used him and he poofed on me.

I've searched the boards for siilar issues. Anyone else have any insight?

Droids now have permadeath. So, could he have gotten killed by a rabbit, mosquito, or rat?

Ijust converted to medic from artisan-pistoleer,I had a surgical droid last night, pulled him out in my house, looked good taught him stay, put him away and **poof** not in data pad.

I'm terrified that I clicked on dismiss, which I think is new, as I never saw it before the patch and it equals what the old release was. Which means bye bye surgical droid. I opened a CSR, but I expect I'm screwed. sniff, we had just bonded too. If I get him back I'm not taking him out again until I talk to a droid eng, to help me understand the commands.

Good Luck! I hope he is there when we pop on next !

Yeah, the"you're dismissed" commandis the same asRelease.. SCARY stuff.. I /bugged the fact that it's right there next to the normal commands you'd normally use from day to day.

Although, if you did hit 'dismiss', you'd still have to teach it the 'release word', so I don't think it should have disappeared like that. Also, when you release a droid, it usually just wanders off. It wouldn't have given you the option to store it again.. ever.

You may be screwed, but it IS a bug..a CSR should reimburse you. "Should" is a pesky word though.. hehe

I also lost my 30k lvl 6 Surgical droid after the mega patch.

I noticed that he had a talk option now when I ranthe mouse over him, so I double clicked him and *poof* no more droid!

U have to watch the radial. I almost clicked dismiss on mine the other night. Sometimes, that radial will move and poof, you dismiss and they leave. Kinda sucks, they should put a "Are u sure" message when u hit that button.

I did the same thing --- accidentally hit "dismiss", then POOF. Gone. I agree there should be a "are you sure" message attached, or a way to recall the command.

Wow.. yeah releasing the droid by accident really sucks.

I lost my 21-B several days ago as well. However, he got gobbled up by a plains hunter that spawned in the middle of our camp. Dead in all of two hits.

When droid permadeath came on the scene i didn't mind it so much when my probot went bye bye in combat. But loosing my food/chem station / med module to a bad spawn really sucks.

Wish they would have at least given us an option to insure them.

I lost mine right after the patch... Didn't take him out or anything. Just logged in the next day and thought I would bring him out at a star port and he was no longer in my data pad. I attributed it to the patch. I am pretty sure I did not click on "dismiss"

I dont understand why we need to have 3 ways to destroy something that costs us so much credits...What are they thinking?!!..I can destroy it from the datapad type release and now click dismiss.. This had to take time to program?!!..Why are they waisting time on creating this massive fiasco? when they could be fixing problems instead. I have lost 2 very expensive droids to these issues. 1st time i hit dismiss thinking i was storeing my LE droid. Got another one and as i was training a new creature i had my droid out. Then when i get to the release command for my creature... low and behold my LE droid is gone again, even though i never taught it that command. WOW smart droids great he already knows how to dissapeer without me training him. Yippee thanks devs.
