Ok did a search on the boards this morning and didn't find anything. I'm not an artisan (no skill points) so I have to but my supplies. Making a "career change" and moving from scout/ranger to medic/combat medic. I just got organic chem IV and saw that I need Class 4 liquid petro chem fuel. I went to the bazaar and saw tons of liquid petro chem fuel. My question is how do I tell what is class 4 or not. How so I identify "class" for liquid petro chem fuel.

You examine it. Under the description, there's a field that's called: "Class" or "Type" I can't remember the exact field name, but it should be fairly apparent. It will say Class 2 Liquid Petro Fuel or something like that. So in the list, for each different name (expand the field to see the names), examine it and see what class of petro fuel it is. It's really mind numbing and boring to do over the galaxy wide bazaar, but that's just the way it is right now. :/

If you have a "very" high screen resoulution, you can also see it on the resource listing page... it gets cut off (like all other long names) usually though.
