Thread: kudos to the medics....

I am a MShave some CH and marksman skills and decided to get medic so that I could make my own stims to heal my pets and group mates. I got medic 3-3-3-4 and started crafting. Geez......what you guys have to go through in order to make stims is ridiculous!


So to make a long story short I decided that I would buy my stims from you guys.


I want to give up some of my medic skills to put elsewhere. The question is how much is too much. I always play with my wife who is almost a TK master and with her and my pet they do all of the tanking and I do the healing in between using my pea shooter.


What skills do I need to use the best quality C's? D's?


Side note:


I noticed while crafting the stims that meat is needed. I usually harvest bones and hide, but I might as well help a medic out by getting meat if I am going to buy stims. What kind of meat do you guys use and what quality?

Thanks for the post, we really do go unnoticed. Honestly the worst is healing someone and not even receiving a thank you. So next time your in the cantina, tip your medic and thank them, it is much appreciated.

Pharmacology gives med use, so that's the line you need to climb to get to stim C's and D's. I can't recall what Pharm level you need for Stim C's, but I think it's at Pharm II. D's require Pharm IV (though they need to be "ease of use" experimented to lower their med use requirement)

As far as meat goes, we're looking for 66% OQ and 33% potential energy. I may have gotten some facts wrong as I haven't ever really dived into the details of micromanaging the Medic profession. So if anyone sees an error here, feel free to correct me.

Savron, my advice is this:


Give up all your Organic Chemistry line. I know that you have worked very hard for it, but it is pretty useless unless you are becoming a CM/Doc/BE/Master Medic which all require Organic Chem. I suggest just selling it all so you can get 14 skill points back, then put 10 of those into Pharmacology 4 and First Aid 4. With these, you'll never need to worry about Stim Cs because you'll always be able to use them and you'll be able to use experimented Stim Ds with 40 medicine use.


So if you sell OC completely and put 10 out of the 14 skill points intoPharmacology and First Aid, you'll be able to use around 80% of the Stimpacks that are out there (excluding CM stims). Also, you'll get the biggest kick out of the Stims. Also, you should purcahse Stims from Master Chemists (people with tier 4 crafting in the Doctor profession) because they can make the best Stims in the game, provided they are using the best resources they can find. I mean, as a Master Doc, I have 10 experimentation points so I can make a Stimpack D with a base heal of something crazy like 900 and 40 medicine use with about 40 uses. Its crazy, I know.

Thanks for all the input guys. I will take your advice and drop the OC so I will get the most bang for my buck using stims rather than trying to do your job which I appreciate to no end.
