Thread: Crafting kit
Will having a better food/chemical crafting kit improve the power of the medicines we make, and if so, how important is it to have +15 rather then a -15 kit?
Thanks.

I've been a crafter for quite some time (Master Arch/Master WS), and here's what I've noticed. It seems that with better crafting tools (I'd say probably 12+) and a better crafting station (about 40+), I get better results on experimentation. Some might say that you get less crit fails with better tools. But, to be honest, I think, based on my experience, that overall crit fails run about 10% no matter what the quality of your tool or station.
Can a better tool and station make better meds? Well, to be straight with ya, I really don't think they can. But, it can give u overall better exp results. Meaning rather than having to experiment on something 50 times to get great success each time, you may only have to experiment once or twice.
Either way, I cannot stress my fondness of high end stations and tools. The ability to almost constantly get great success on experimentation with good materials takes so much stress away from playing. My weapon tools are something like 13.8 tools, and my weapon station is 40.8. Three of the 7 of my Chem tools are 14.85 tools (the rest are 12.90), and I have an order in for a 40+ Chem station.

The weapon/droid/ general tool shoudl only be able to make the same stims as the general craft tool (As).
The Food/Chem tool shoud be the only one to make Bs and higher.
Are you saying the Weapon/Droid General tool is allowing the crafting of B and higher meds?

Seems anyone can make anything with a General/ Droid/ Weapon kit.
Whee, fun.
They seem to work with all public and private stations as well.
