Thread: Heals result lower after the Mounts/City Patch?
I have First Aid IV and StimB's 430/37. It was not uncommon for me to throw 800-1000 point heals before the last patch.
Now I can throw a 600-800 on a rare occasion but have been usually in the 300-600 range.
Has anyone else noticed reduced results lately?
I posted this already in the "Need Help: Are Stims Currently Bugged" thread but I want to repeat it here for my own thread:
I made some headway last night in my research on why I can't seem to heal as well as I would expect.
I have a set of BE'd clothing (Jacket and Helm) that give me a combined +25 Injury/Wound Treatment bonus and I am using 432 / 37 Stim B's from two weeks before the patch.
With clothes on, I throw an average 450 heals.
With clothes off, I throw an average of 700 heals (which is what I expect from FA3 and 432 Stim B's)
So for some reason, it looks like the BE'd clothing bonuses are _hurting_ my ability to heal. Can anyone else verify my results or have experienced similar occurences?
My Injury Treatment is +141 (natural + BE clothes)
Stim C 450/33's give me 800-1400 pt heals.
I'm not sure if that's "right" or not, but I tought I'd post it for someone to crunch the numbers.
The Skills sheet is buggged. The Maximum increase that BE enhanced clothes and skill tapes can give you for any particular skill is a +25 total. So if you are at 100 skill level, then 125 is the best you will ever be able to get out of it. If you are under 100 then whatever your current skill is +25 would be your personal cap on that skill.
At any rate, sounds like some testing needs to be done, but the hard part is the variability levels. All heals suffere from such a vast variation that it can be difficult to narrow down changes without taking a farily large sampling for comparison.
I am willing to sacrifice a couple of mygood Stim B's in order to prove this.
I will use the 'Tumble to Prone'method tonightwith a friend of mine41 times without the clothing, and then41 times with the clothing. I will average out the heals, then we can see.
If someone else would also attempt to verify my results, we can compare notes tomorrow (Wednesday)
I don't have any BE clothing atm to test it out myself. I am forwarding this to both the BE and the devs.

(I'm gonna cross-post this in the 3 threads I have started as well.)
Last night I tested the effect BE'd clothing has on heals post-mount/player city patch. Initial findings indicate everything is working normally.
My friend, a Master Doc, did not have the combat tree so he could not do the "Tumble to Prone" method of damage, so I performed it while he healed me. This may have skewed the results unfortunately, though I doubt it. However to assuade my own fears I will be performing another test on Thursday night using myself as the healer.
Test Setup:
Healer was a Master Doc. +100 Injury Treatment
Healee was aNovice Pistoleer, prone, unarmored, performing 'Tumble to Prone'
BE Clothing:
Spec-Op Duster: +14 Injury/Wound Treatment
Swoop Helm: +14 Injury/Wound Treatment
2 Stimpack B's from a crate: 407 rated / 39 charges
Tests were performed with78 totalheals performed. One set (39) was performed wearing the clothes, one without (39).
Test Data Recorded:
39 Heals without BE clothing averaged out at 761.0769
39 Heals with the BE clothing averaged out at 931.6667
Observed average increase in heals: 170.5897
Observed percentage increase in effectiveness of heals: 18.31%
Test Data Conclusions:
Testing seems to bear out for this case that BE clothing enhancement is working fine. Using the BE enhanced clothing the doctor went from +100 to +125 and realized a 18.31% increase in heals average effectiveness. Logic would dictate this would stay a constant even with higher-rated StimD's and E's.
Personal Observations:
Unfortunately, this data does not bear out my belief that BE clothing is bugged. However, I will perform one more test run of dataas I stated previously, probably on Thursday night. I will report back with those results as well from a Novice Medic perspective.
For now, I have to admit that it seems everything is working normally post-patch.
Data Availability:
I have all 78 datapoints available in an Excel97 spreadsheet if anyone wants the original data.
I may have him run some buffs and see if they are better or worse with or without the coat on.
