Hello my favorite people,

I say this because as you know, I am up close and taking alot of wounds during battle, and without you life would suck. Now I dont want to replace you completly, I want to join you. I currently have some basic medical skill. I went to a trainer and paid my 1000 credits. Now Iam 2/2/1/0. I know i'm a baby. Here's were I need you guys. How can I become a better medic? As a Wookie I cannot wear any armor. So I take a beating. I buy Stim B's when I can (3000 credits for 34-is this too expensive?) but i can never seem to use them when i'm getting hammered. I have then in a hotkey and I target myself and hit F7 like crazy. So that sucks...Now when i'm in a camp I target someone and type /tendwound or /healwound and I get a little XP. But is there a better way?

Any help would be forever grateful......

Well, Im not sure if your looking for help on how to get more medical xp or how to heal more... but Ill tell you both just to make sure.

How to get the most bang for your buck. If your buying a single stim B for 3k, your probably paying too much, unless its base heal is somewhere around 900+. Get your med skills to somewhere around 3/0/3/0, then you can use stim C's and your FA will help it to heal more. Diagnostics, the second branch, is only helpful to reduce the amount of time between heals, so though that would be a little useful, healing your self for more damage is likley to be more useful.

As far as xp, stop and play the part of healer for a bit, till you get the xp you need. Or you can always work the cantina healing damage, or a medical center healing wounds.

If you need further direction, feel free to ask.

Awesome, i appreciate your assitance. So I can go into a medical center and do /tendwounds and a cantina and type/tenddamage...are these the best commands to type? Can I get any XP if I do /healwound or /healdamage?

Actually its the other was around...

/healwound and /healdamage will give you xp

/tenddamage and /tendwound wont give you xp (Actually /tendwound might, im not 100% sure on that one)

But either way, what you want to do is...

Get some Stim B's if your going to heal damage and get some WoundPack B's if your going to heal wounds. Either can be crafted at 0/0/0/1 (Im pretty sure, maybe 2) Or better yet, just buy em off the market. You will level really fast or join up with a party and heal them, plent of xp to go around from a good hunting party.

/tendwound and /healwound are two very different commands.

/tendwound will cause a small amount of mind wounds to yourself in exchange for healing a small amount of health and action wounds to your target. This action DOES NOT require you to buy any medicine, but is limited in power and causes mind wounds.

/healwound requires you to have a wound pack in your inventory. If you can find some good B level wound packs, you will get MUCH more XP and heal far larger amounts than you would using the tend command. Plus you will not cause any wounds to your mind.

Now, when it comes to stimpack use, you should create a macro with the command

/healdamage self

this will use the stimpack B (or any other stimpack you have the skill to use in your inventory) on yourself without having to target yourself first. very handy to have when your busy trying to fight at the same time.

/tendwound has XP.

/tenddamage does not.

Awesome guys i cant wait to play again. More dumb questions if i can. I really want to make a macro to actually be able to heal myself in the middle of chaos. I have tried in the past to make a macro but I seem to be macro-intolerate.....Also I purchased some wound packs and i have noticed they seem to be specific to types of damage like constitution,etc.....is there some that will just randomely heal whatever needs it?

Nope, you have to keep 6 different WoundPacks with you at all times, dont worry you will get used to it. As far as the macro, its really easy

/healdamage self

Thats it.
