Thread: Dressing for medical success
I'd really like to look more like a medic... and am finding it difficult. I've met a tailor who's happy to spend a bit of time producing whatever I ask for, but I don't really know what to ask for. I've got a white doc's dress, but that's all at the moment. Am I alone in thinking that this dress isn't all that medical-looking?
What clothes do people wear to look medical?
What can be made to work as doctors' coats, as surgical scrubs, as EMT jumpsuits, etc?
As a Combat Medic, I wear:
- White Gunmans Duster (Closest thing to a Lab Coat)
- Gray Gloves
- Black Boots
- White Pants
- Gray or Red Shirt
- Backpack
- Red Tinted Goggles
I didnt know what to ask for either... I just wanted something white, lol ![]()
But it turned out great. I have all white, an open jacket, white shirt, gloves, boots, pants. It looks really cool. I would say it looks like the ideal Field Medic. Its kinda hard to imagine what would look good when you cant really see whats available. Maybe one day a tailor will open a clothing store... Hmmm....
Star Wars does not have an "official medic" type color-scheme.. Most players use red and white though (like earth).
------
The formal jacket (I think that 's the name)..the foldover buttoned jacket is very medical looking (especially in white)
Then I have white striped pants with a maroon stripe. (any pants can do, but the colored stripe is a good accent).
Black uniform boots, and black gloves. (too much white is bad)
(No hat.)
That's what I wear when I'm trying to look "medicy."
General these is something in white with red highlights... though I have seen some people do the reverse to good effect.
A friend of mine is an imperial medic, and he has the same outfit as mine, but all in black.
Generally making somethng that looks good to you is more important then looking like a medic, people learn that you are a medic type pretty fast.
I have seen all sorts of other cool combos (lots of different colors), especially for adventuring medics.

/shrug for me the choice to wear all black stems from a very simple PVP perspective. Most players do not expect a Doctor to wear black, so I don't get targetted early in a fight. Unlike the other Docs I see wearing their Healing Bonus Doctor Smocks, all white, white with red trim etc. Just looks like a bullseye to me. and wearing black helps me blend in with the other players in a fight.
