Medic Archive
Thread: Not sure which trees to pursue. Any advice appreciated :)
Hi folks, I'm currently a 2-2-2-3 Creature Handler and a 1-4-4-3 Pistoleer. Planning to master both and spend the rest of my points in medic.
(By the way, this character profile isn't designed to follow the masses. I love my pets
)
The question I have is, which lines would you recommend? I've got 38 points left over (23 with novice medic that is). I was thinking doing 4-2-1-1 so that I could hopefully be self sufficient and heal reasonably well, but from reading other people's posts, I'm wondering if I should do 3-0-4-0 instead and just buy stimpaks and wound kits from other people.
The only tree I don't fully understand is the Pharmacology tree. Mainly ignorance here, I'll admit. Since my character is bugged atm and I can't log on, would anybody be able to give me a rough estimate of costs and stats of the stim/wound paks that I would need to be buying if I go for 3-0-4-0?
And, finally.Are there any alternatives that you can suggest as to what boxes I take.
Thanks in advance for your help guys and gals (and imperials *wink*).
3/0/4/0 would probably be the best (Nice to see that someone reads before they post
)
Pharmacology basicly equals Med use. The more you have of it, the better meds you can use. Stim A and B are med use 5, which you can do with novice medic, But it takes at least a 3 in Pharm to use a Stim C that has been experimented down to 30, same with D's, but the med use is 40. Whatever you decide to do, dont waste your time with crafting your own stims, buy em, you will be much happier in the end, not to mention still alive. A standard cost for a descent Stim B is around 1k, but that varies per server and location. WoundPacks can be around 700-1k.
If I missed anything or didnt answer something your looking for, just let me know.
Im also a Master Pistoleer / Master CH with some Medic Skills.
Medic is 4, 3, 0, 0
I use Stim B's and Wound B's crafted by my PA's Master CM, so I only need 5 med use. First Aid IV allows me to heal upwards of 900 H/A points at a time, which is great for my pets.
Its also nice inPVP as I can heal my H/A back to full in one shot, and not waste that valuable mind pool on multiple heals. Having First Aid (treat bleeding) is also nice in PVP, and PVE.
I took the Diagnose tree mostly for Drag Player, which is very useful in PVP for those that play more of a support role and less of a rambo role, like me.I had a few extra creds after that, so I went to Diag 3, since I dont craft my own stims, and med use 10 is no better then 5 really.AndI did notice a few second increase on when I can heal again, which is nice.
This seems to work well for me, as now I have very little down time healing my pets after combat, and in PVP I can heal myself and fellow soldiers pretty quickly and lose alot of mind doing it.
grrr... no edit... should read:
