Thread: #1 medic problem ---- Factory Crafting Time (IMO)
I am tired of the time it takes to craft medicine in a factory --- I am surprised that this is not one of the top 5 and am looking for what other medicine crafters think of it.
For example it takes 9.6 minutes to make a stimpack B in a factory. 144 seconds each subcomponent and 144 seconds for the B. So if you make a run of 1000 you are looking at 6.6 days total factory time.
I think it is crazy that it takes us more time to make 1 stimpack B in a factory than a large harvestor.
What do you guys think?
Well, I dont have any idea what the formula is, but the time it takes in a factory is dependant on what the complexity of your product is. When I make factory runs, instead of experimenting multiple times on a product, I just do it all at once. This method often takes me a couple of tries, but in the end I get a product that can come out of the factory faster, due to its lower complexity rating.
But bottom line is, this thing runs night and day, day and night and you dont have to worry about it. If its not fast enough, get another factory. This is actually the first time I have heard anyone complain about a factory being too slow (Not that that takes away from your argument), its just that I dont think its that big of a deal if only one person, that I have seen here, complains.

The time IS NOT dependent on the complextity, or it would take a weaponsmith just as long or longer to run a crate of weapons as it does us to make meds. The fact is it takes several times longer to run a batch of stims than any other type of crafted item in the game of similar complexity.
I myself have heard EVERY large scale medical crafter I have met complain about the time it takes, especially those that have large scale crafted in other professions. There is obviously a penalty for medical crafters (intential or bug remains to be seen) and I think it is a good time to bring it up to the devs and see what the rational is or wether they are just unaware and will fix it.
Most people power through medic very fast, and end up as Doc or CM.
With few exceptions, the peopel that bother to vote on things, or even psot here, are usually brand new medics, or peopel that are using up remaining points here.
Both of these groups seldom have med factories.
Factory issues tend to be high priority in Doc and CM, but not a big deal here.
Feel free to push it as an issue.

K - I will move it over to Doctor board then, just figured it would be appropriate here since the main things that ppl craft in bulk are actually Medic schematics. I never make 1,000 Enhancement packs at a time (LOL That would take a week of factory time I bet!)

But most of the factory users and salespeople tend to hang out in those 2 places.
Factory time is a effect of complexity, and is across the board for all crafting in factories. If we got ours lowered, everyone else would want a piece of that action too.
