Sorry for posting twice. Here's the real message.

As a novice medic who earns most of his money and experience from healing others

in med centers, I think there should be a slight change made. Why can't the devs make

a change so that patients can actually lie down on the beds for treatment? It would be more

realistic to walk into a med center and see 3 patients lying in bed while they are treated for

their injuries than to see them standing or sitting while they are healed. This is just a

suggestion and it probably won't be implemented into the game any time soon, if ever.

Does anyone else think that this change is a good idea? I think it would be a little more conducive

to role-players than the current system of just sitting on the edge of the bed.

Well... there are bigger issues to be delt with, But honestly... yea it would be nice to be able to lay on beds... I mean forbid the thought that a bed would be used as something other then a chair

Motion capture is expensive..

The only current art of peopel on their backs is the jump backwards death... that's a little iffy to use for being on a bed.

In addition, staying on furniture is still borked.. be prepared to foat off your chair.

maybe down the road...wouldn't expect it soon.

I'd be all for this - though as stated previously I'm sure there are other things on the Devs' minds! One thing this would be good for would be sorting out who to deal with next!

So, expansion on this idea... patient comes into med centre. I greet them, diagnose them. Agree to heal them (no major BF), and invite them to lie down (they can't lie down until invited to by a medic). I start healing them (which takes ages with my Const Wound-A's!). Another patient comes in, I ask them to lie down on the only other bed, and I say I'll get to them in a moment.

Suddenly a third patient walks in, demands to be healed. I tell them to take a seat, I'll get to them in a moment, but there's a queue. Grumbling, they agree.

I finish healing first patient, and he tips me generously before leaving. (OK, I can dream...) Of course, he might well have gone AFK at this point (who would stick around to RP with the medic, I mean, really???), in which case I'd bring up the bed's radial menu and click on 'Vacate hospital bed', which would make room for the next patient.

[I can do this because I'm a medic - normal patients can't kick other patients out of the beds!] The ex-patient would stand next to the bed (can't move them more than that) and I could invite the next patient to lie down on the bed... and then I go to heal the second patient. Perhaps even a queuing system could be in operation on the beds... you could examine the bed and it would say how long the bed had been occupied for and if what order the bed had been occupied - most recently to longest time ago.
