Hi,

I would apear that stim d requires factorymade components so how do I use these? I assume I have to experiment and make some schematics and then take these along with the proper ressoucer to a factory?

Where do I find this specialzed crafting tool it requires?

Do I buy a factory from an Architech?

Any advise you be appreciated

Best Regards

Ever wonder why all your stims are called “prototypes”? Architects can make food & chemical crafting factories, which are buildings that churn out up to 1000 items at a time. You can buy them or friends can give you access to their factory. You put enough resources in (e.g. 800 organic and 800 inorganic for a batch of 100 stim A), and the factory automatically produces crates of medicines, for which you get the medicine crafting XP. To get enough resources to run a factory, you need harvesters, power sources, and enough credits to run it all. Again, this is where being in a PA can help. Before you can manufacture something in a factory, you also need to make your own schematic in a food & chemical crafting tool while in the vicinity of a public food & chemical crafting station. Craft something, experiment on it, and choose the option to make a schematic instead of a prototype. The resulting schematic (found on your datapad, Ctrl-D) goes into the factory along with the resources. You must use exactly the same types of resources as you used in making the schematic.

Of course, this opens up some great opportunities for players who like crafting. You can manufacture components, stims and medpacks in bulk and sell them to the rest of us!

Greetings.

First, you need to buy a Food Factory from an Architect. You are looking to spend about 30-70k on a Factory, depending on the Architect. I was lucky and had a friend who made me one for 12k.

Next, you want to collect enough resources to make a factory run of items. Let's say you want a crate of Biological Effect Controllers for your Stimpack Ds, then you will collect lets say 306 organics and 306 inorganics for 50 Biological Effect Controllers. I know you need 300, but you need the extra 6 for the schematic. Try and experiment on the BEC for the best possible result.

Next, head to your factory and put some money and some cash into it, it's the same as putting in cash for a house and power for a harvester. Now, click to bring up the radial menu of the factory, and goto 'Options' and wait for the sub-menu to come down. The next thing is to 'Access Schematic Slot' and click on your BEC schematic and click 'Use'. Go back into options and into 'Access Input Hopper' (It may be input or ingredient..I'm not 100% sure) and put your 300 organics and 300 inorganics into the hopper. I seem to have a bug where when I place an item into the hopper, the item stays in my inventory, yet the hopper seems to gain an item. So, if you drag the resource into the hopper and it doesn't show, don't worry.

The next thing to do is goto 'Options' again and click on 'Start Manufacturing Products' and bang, the factory starts to make you a crate of 50 BECs. You can always use larger amounts, and you can get the schematic to go up to 1000, so if you have 6000 organics and inorganics, do it.

If you want to make a crate of Stims, you have to make a crate of BECs, Liquid Suspensions and then Chemical Release Duration Mechanisms and then use each one in a schematic for a Stimpack. It seems long winded, but it does work. And remember, use EXACTLY THE SAME ingredients that you used to make the schematic or else you get nothing.

The advantages of using Factory crates is that you don't have to craft nearly as much, and you can save space in your inventory.

Good luck in using your factory!
