Thread: What types of FLORA Resources do Medics use?
It really depends on what the medic is making and the quality they want to produce. Lower quality/level stims and packs only need something organic, something inorganic, something chemical, and water. The stats that Medics look for in their resources are potential energy, overall quality for organics and overall quality and unit toughness for inorganics. Water needs to be very high overall quality.
I just got Organic Chemistry IV last night, which allows me to make advanced components for medicines. For the advanced components the requirements are much more limited and some are even planet specific. Some that I can recall off the top of my head were Herbivore meat, Lokian wheat, Dantooinian berry fruit, Tatooinian Fiberplast, Dolovite Iron, Talusian Water. When I sawthese resource requirements, I kind of decided to stick with the easier to make lower quality stims, simply because I do not want to run all over the galaxie to gather needed resources and I don't do harvesting at all. If I were to find a decent resource provider who would be willing to do business I might change my mind. Medic is a secondary profession for me though. I plan to be a Master Ranger, but I like the flexibility of being a healer also.
On the Organics OQ is worth 66% and PE is 33%. So the Overall Quality is twice as important as the Potential Energy.
So a 850 OQ/ 500PEOrganic is just as good as a 600OQ / 1000 PE Organic.
On the inorganics I don't remember the ratios maybe someone else does.

actually, thats not quite true
since water vapor has a PE of "0" (it does not have that stat) having a organic with high PE will makea large bit of difference.
600/1000 would be actually better than 850/500
