Thread: Medic recipes that are flawed and need attention from the devs

I've started a thread on the main discussion board concerning the fact that several Medic, Doctor and BE recipes are flawed. I started putting this list together after a weapon schematic change on test which resulted in the same kind of flaws as our recipes have always had got prompt attention and change from TH and the devs. Needless to say we need the same thing. The thread is here:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=930741

The affected Medic schematics are:
RECIPES WHERE AT LEAST ONE INGREDIENT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE REQUIRED PROPERTY:
MANY Medic/Doctor/BE meds (including BECs/Stims/Pet Stims/Woundpacks/ Enhances)- nothing gives BOTH UT and PE, only one or the other
Liquid Suspension- Water does not give PE
Adv. Liquid Suspension- Water does not give PE
Adv. Solid Delivery Shell- Dolovite Iron does not give PE
Stimpack-D- Fiberplast does not give PE

Which weapons schematic change? is ter a new one, or do you men the quality/experiment one that was yanked a bit back?

The last we heard, all crafitn/ resource changes were on hold until the missing stats not counting as 0 bug was tracked down.

Zarlor and I both made it a point to direct the Devs to the fact that all medic items need UT/PE and nothing ever has UT and PE (s owe'd get an avelanche of 0s on all of our crafted items). Zarlor also pointed out the problems you listed with Doc meds.

One of the reasons the material fix (material quality affects experimentation) was yanked from TC in the first place, was tat we brought up how borked materials in crafting are in general.

I'll forward this up.. and see what happens.

Yeah, it was a couple of months back, a big thread in TC concerning how a change was going to reduce the maximum ability the particular weapon could be experimented to.

Currently you don't need to have the required stats in all slots, just in one of the slots- meaning there is no problem right now, but I wouldn't put it past the devs to "fix" this.

It might not be working as intended but the only schematic that suffers from missing stats is enhance packs, off the top of my head (No UT possible). Maybe some of the state heals.

I do have it as issue #9 ont he Bugs list for Docs (Crafting Schematics with Unused Ratings).

Here's the issue text with the list I have there:

There are several schematics that use resources that do not have stats required by their schematic. In particular, on the D-level schematics for all Enhance packs other than Action the schematics require Avian Meat and Reactive Gas, neither of which have UT rating which affects the charges available. The same is true for the top-level Cure Disease and Poison packs.

As for those schematics with UT-v-PE being 0 rated... still an issue, but as mentioned not one that really hurts us as the moment because it's not treating those as a 0 if one of the resources has it. I thnk if the crafting system starts getting looked at closer by the Devs, though, then they will need to make sure this is covered and we'll be sure they know all of the schematics they will need to fix to do that (which is virtually all of our schematics, actually.)

Ok, the way you presented this, was that it went up just recently. I though there was an emergency.

LOL, I thought it went back to TC today... and was madly trying to find out what was up with TC in and around my classes .

I'm having a heart attack. Zarlot get the paddles!

Clear!

Well, I've had rather a good amount of luck in this and other MMOs getting things fixed by presenting them as emergencies so it rather a default state by this point when reporting bugs and problems.

Well, I'd appreciate it, if you didn't do it here.

I'll go into immediate "Boy who cried wolf" mode next time...

We've been working on this, and thought an error had happened and it had been released on TC.

I got about 40 worried PMs, and I asked some TC people to waste their time trying to confirm that it had been put on TC.

I'm actually very disapointed, that you thought this approach was a good idea.
