... you're healing someone in the Med Centre & getting XP, then another medic joins in the healing?

I've done this plenty of times, & had no complaints, nor complained myself when others have joined in healing withpatients (my pathetic skills have needed all available help), but the Medic profession is intrinsically selfless, & I would n't like to offend.

I suppose it's ok if the player being healed is there (so anxious to get out & about), but if he/she is obviously AFK?

I have had that same question and I would say that 99% of the time its fine. Every once in a while you may run upon someone that is easily offended and felt that the experience from that person is theirs... if you do run into such a person, just appologize and move on. But other then that, I would say feel free.

I jokingly made the comment when healing a group of my friends once to a Novice Doctor about stealing my xp and even typed a 8*) at the end. (didn't know fully how to use the emoteactionsyet) and the Novice doctor smiled back and said sorry. I then had to tell them I was joking to go ahead and heal.

Thing is as a low level Medic or Doctor other than Med Centers and Cantina / starport camping xp is tough to get, without going outwith a group (where you wind up spending most of your time in the cloning center) and those inthe Med profession at any levelknow this. I tend to ask "is it ok if I help?" if the med center is busy with medical and low on other skill PC.

We have to work to gether as a profession. A little politeness doesn't hurt either.

I always jump in to help heal anyone even if someone else is there already. I do read the chats though and if I know someone invited the victim to be healed or they had some arrangement already where he would tumble or whatever and get healed, then I won't interfere.
