I've found myself with 38 skill points left. Since that isn't enough to master anything, I've decided to use it to dabble in an area I could use some help with... Healing. I was hoping someone here might be willing to help me work up the best build for my needs.
I don't really want to play the role of medic in a group, or to place a lot of priority on healing others. I mostly want/need some help keeping myself standing. I don't have any interest in collecting resources to build stims and wound packs. I just want an adequite level of skill to use the meds that I buy off of more proficient medics. So I was thinking something like...
First Aid: 3
Diagnostics: 3
Pharmacology: 2
Organic Chemistry: 0
Do you think that would work for what I am describing? Or does it need a bit of tweaking? I'd really appreciate any and all advice you might be willing to offer.

I would ignore Diagnostics and go with First Aid 4 + Pharmacology 3. This will allow you to use Stimpack C's with great skill.
Note that the Stimpack C's will need to be experimented down to 30 Med Use in order for you to use them.

pharmacology 2 is useless
either go pharm 3 or put the points elsewhere

Your best choice is probably 4.0.3.0 or 4.3.0.0
4.0.3.0 will let you give youself big heals with stim Cs, 4.3.0.0 will give smaller heals (stim Bs) but more often, the best one for you will depend on how far you let your HAM bars drop before healing and if you usually go buffed. The stim C option will regularly give heals around 1000 points, the B around 700 so if you usually unbuffed most of the C hel will be wasted.
