Let me start by saying I tryed medic once befor but dropped it cause my health and action were not a problem at all, it was my mind that was most precious but now with brandy and canape and muon in a jam Ive been considering medic, but what would you do?

My end template, as in no more grinding once I get to this as I have tryed every combat profession I care to, will be Master Rifleman, MTKA, Fencer 1-0-0-0. Those are my required and that leaves 41 points up for grabs.

What I toggle back and forth with is, I am not a PvP only guy, but I am not a PvE only guy either. I like to mix it up, so would medic be the right idea or should I get more status defense sice this template is lacking in that area. In the same sense that its lacking in that area, I also enjoyed back when I had at least novice medic having a group role of taking care of incapped players and healing so the Doc could focus on slain players and poison/diseases. lol When I describe it I sound like a nurse I guess.

So, medic or no? And what would you take if you took medic? I was thinking 4-0-3-0 for Stim Cs, but Im not sure about First Aid. Does it help a lot with the amount of damage you can heal?

Thanks for any advice.

Lets look at a few things first. Take into account that the combat balance is coming. That will change the way we play significantly, so you should assume that your current template is only valid till then.

Then, ask yourself a few of these questions and put the answers in order of priority.

  • Are you able to find buffs at the drop of a hat?

  • Canyou afford buffs at the drop of a hat?

  • Do you want to play with buffs all the time?

  • Doyou run with a master doc all the time?

  • Do you run in a large group all the time?

  • What do you see your main role as?

I can only provide you with so much info before the most important factor comes into play. How do you want to have fun? You certainly have enough free points to take on a fair swipe of medic.

First Aid increases the amount of healing you get from a single stim. Combined with Pharma 3 you will be well set. It sounds like you don't run with buffs all the time so medic might be a wise choice.

Well, combat balance wil be a big part Im sure. I just know it sucks to be dizzy kd'ed for as long as it is now but maybe the duration of dizzy wil change, Ill never know until then.

I do run with buffs al the time though, bu tnot by choice. My race forces me to and I figured medic wih brandi and canape would be all I need with medic to at least let me take on some mid level things without buffs, otherwise I hurt myself as much as some things I fight.

Ahh, what the hell. Ill give medic a shot and see how things fair after the combat balance then go from there.

Thanks.
