Medic Archive

A very simple question - where do I get resources! I want to start making my own medicine. I looked all over the bazaar categories and can't seem to find organic or inorganic resources there. I have heard that I could train in Scout (right?) to go out and get my own resources but haven't tried that yet.

You can't find inorganic or organic resources on the bazaar?

Under 'Resource Items' you should find a list of categories:

Inorganic Chemical
Inorganic Mineral
Inorganic Gas
Organic Meats
Organic Hides
Organic Bones
...(I may be wrong on the names of the organic ones, but they're there and 'Organic' is in the category name)

They're all there... If there aren't any items listed in those categories, then I'd suggest you find yourself a more populated city with a more active bazaar.

As for getting them on your own. Yes harvest off creatures that you kill will give you organic resources - you do not need Scout to do this (although Scout will increase your yield). For inorganics you will need to harvest via harvesters.

Okay, I may be wrong because I have been wrong before, but I'm pretty certain you have to have Novice Scout to get the /harvest ability. In fact, I seem to remember that's the whole reason why I took Novice Scout to begin with. Then again, as often as they make code changes, maybe that's something that has been nerfed since I did it. Don't ask me why, but as of yesterday, I'm noviced in all of the starting professions, so it's tough to remember any more.
