Thread: adv resouces....
Hi,
I had this problem. What is the rating of your crafting station and crafting tools? I was using a -11 station, and a -3 tool. Now I'm using a +23 station, and a +3 tool, and I'm turning out powerful medicine. Also, did you check the Overall Quality of the ingredients you're using?
The Stim B's I'm making do 327x37

For better tools, ideally, you will want either a weaponsmith or droid engineer to make your tool as they specialize in experimenting for that category of tools (Weapon, Droid and Generic Item) - tools are generic items. The best tools I've seen carry a tool effectiveness of 14.55. I recently asked my weaponsmith friend to play with this and he made me three 14.55 rated F&C crafting tools. I supplied some high conductivity materials and some cash and he did the rest.
I personally have never purchased a private crafting station, so I don't know how high the ratings go, but you can always ask a master architect to play with it. I went the route of a medical droid with a crafting station. I'm not sure what quality the crafting station was, but it's served me well thus far. I've been able to churn out 72% stims. I should really look into what quality the crafting station is for my droid.
Btw, just as a note, you don't get "public crafting stations" for your house. The ones you buy are "private". You control who gets to use it. The more important distinction comes from the fact that stim Ds and higher require "private" stations rather than the public ones that you'll find as you run through a city. Took me a bit of asking to figure this one out, but it does seem to play a role. Droid crafting stations are deemed private as well.
Good luck!
Final product depends more on your individual resources used than anything else. Most people think (myself included) that a better quality crafting station will help with fewer fails and more successes.
101 power ALS is pretty good, I have gotten 154 and heard of 180. ACRDM of 37 is not bad either, I maxed at 65 with 960+ on both resources. ABC's I have made 20/9 I think with all 900+ resources (been a while on those - still using ones from a month ago).
The trick is just being patient enough to wait for a good high quality resource then hoard it. My first Lok wheat was 200OQ. Now I am using 900+ and it makes a huge difference.
But I do agree that the better crafting stations DO seem to help with better successes and fewer fails.
