I think they should nerf novice medic. Everyone picks up novice medic and buy stim b's.

They do this so they can solo but if you nerf it so novice medic is almost useless without FA3 or 4 and pharm2 or 3 then it would force people to form groups which is what it seems to me like SOE is trying to do by nerfing non ch pets and just about everyone else.

So instead of fixing broken classes like squad leader lets just make all the other classes worse.

Just because you do not want to make money off of selling Stims, does not mean that others do not.

You either missed my point or I didn’t make it clear enough, so I’ll try again.
Eery new character. The way it seems to me with the nerf of CH, SOE is trying to stop people from just picking up a little from a profession and almost forcing them to master it in order to get anything good out of it, which I have no problem with even though it does take away a lot of freedom. With everyone picking up novice medic and most getting first aid 2 in order to stop bleeding no one ever forms a group and says, “We better go to the med center and get a medic or doctor to come with us.” They only want the doctor to buff them.
I have no problem with people making money by selling stim packs, great for them I know I hate making them; I buy them to save myself the trouble most of the time.

The point of the CH changes is not to get rid of all the dabblers and force people to master. Right now, CH'ers can aquire half of the CH skill boxes(two lines in the tree) and get 90% of the skills that make a CH so good. So the devs are spreading things out a bit so that people will have to investin the other two lines instead of totally ignoring them.

Medic is nowhere near that situation. The medic tree is actually quite balanced already, with enough of an incentive to go up the different lines. StimB's med usecould be raised a little, but im really quite happy with where they are now. I make 90% of my income from selling Stim and Wound B's

Hey 15 skill points is A LOT! I'm to a point where I'm going to give up Medic, but I find it hard to solo the same level of creatures without the medic level that I have.

I wish /healdamage was a universal command so that non-medics could pickup and use Stim A's!!!

The plan is not to make everyone master professions.

The plan is to make sure people are getting too much power from a profession for a small CP payment.

CH is giving huge benefits for a small CP payout.

Movice medic is a small benefit (B's) for a small payout (base healing rates and times on stim B's).

Stim C's outclass B's by a lot (and require a III skill to use).

FA and DIAG have significant impact on healing amounts and time (self-heal timer fix is on the way BTW.. no ETA).. crafting is crafting.. make stims for less then market cost, for the effore to crafting).

There is benefit from climbing all the Medic branches. CH was misbalanced towards 2 branches being overly useful (some would argue, only 2 branches were useful at all). CH is nto an indicator of anythign with rerspect to other professions.

Right now the most messed up skill branch belongs to Smuggler.. .which has a branch with no value at all.

And then there are the upcoming changes to, hopefully, make /firstaid better as you progress. Meaning that someone with novice medic and FAII will be outclassed in Bleed Healing by someone with FAIV.

The fact that people take Novice Medic and buy Stim-Bs does NOT mean the profession is deserving of any kind of nerf. Being able to dabble and get some small ammount of skill in a profession as a side to your main interest is part of this games design.

And before anyone brings it up, the CH changes had nothing to do with stopping 'dabbling'. It had everything to do with people taking half a professions skills(two branches) and being on par with someone who actually MASTERED that particular profession.

Basically what I'm saying is... what those before me have said

Don't 'nerf' medics...Nerf those who call for nerfs...or somesuch.

B's can actually be really good though.

But if you want people to group more, give them more incentive to do so. You can do this without killing solo play.

Frankly to me the main point to grouping is it's generally more fun than soloing. I could care less about xp- I can have a good time without being Master Pwnzor. Many players won't group unless there's a clear benefit though.

I think we all get your point but wish you would take your bitterness elsewhere. Medic is well balanced. Not everybody goes for the quick and dirty, a lot of 'solo' players really solo. I picked up medic and never once bought someone elses med pack so I never used a StimB until I could make a StimB

I'm at 3-2-2-4 right now and it has been a very rewarding journey cause I don't grind it. Unlike what happens with CH i'm not matched by a medic dabbler. I can still out heal the daylights out of them as it should be. I'm faster and I heal for a ton more.

In other words, medic dabblers don't degrade my experience as an aspiring Master Medic.

This is not the nerf your looking for...

People only pick up novice medic for a little bit of healing rather than having to sit, however I do not think this kills group play or discourages it. The people I group with are always more than happy to invite me along, seeing as I can completely heal their grauls in 20 seconds (literally, I heal for 1300 with stimCs every 3 seconds). As well as group stim for another 1300 if need be. Novice Medic is convenient, but those who go after big game know the importance of a good doc/CM who can group heal, rez, poison, wound heal, etc. As for making /healdamage with stimAs, I think that is a great idea. It will give medics alot more market and another product to make cash.
