Thread: Questionable way to Gain EXP, but it's very, very good
This is what you need:
1 pet (The higher the HAM, the better, I use(d) a GSP)
1 Commando w/ at least Flamesingle 1
Some good Health stim packs (I'm using Bs)
This is what you do:
Get the commando to burn your pet (in a duel) then heal your pet until all it's Health is Black
Bring the pet into the basement of a Med center (or top floor, I used the AH cantina/med center)
Then just make a macro (or do it by hand, I used a macro, if you do it by hand you can probably get OC IV while doing it) that heals your pet with the stim and pauses for 30 seconds (exact time it took me between heals, soon as it said I could heal again my macro hit the stim again)
I did this for the day, set my macro, had it heal the pet, and then check in on the macro in an hour or so (one stim won't last this long but 8 will with it alternating between stims)
And there you have it, the quickest way to gain Medical EXP (that I can think of). Not sure if this has been posted nor if people will agree with it but this is the best way I've found so far, a lot better then healing cantina dancers, plus it doesn't leave them all bruised and looking like a Neutron Pixie addict from all the punctures in their skin
True
But was it fun? I have joined hunting parties, been adopted by at least two bands as a roadie/medic, scrambled in the med center during a huge influx of wounded folks, been praised cursed ignored by umpteen folks, experiemented wildly with medication during the slow time, given away droids, made some cash, danced, been told I should headline at the cantina with my comedy routine, healed pets, narrowly escaped tef's during a raid and had a blast.
Total time? About 10 days. If it's urgent to you to grind up the ranks immediately - I guess this is one way to do it. I know I had a helluva better time actually playing the game doing it my way...
Io - "Old fashioned non grinding fool"
Was it fun? Sure, I was elsewhere having fun while the computer got the skills for me
Besides i"m only taking doctor to compliment my TKA skills so I wanna get through it as quickly, and painlessly, as possible
Which was why I acknowledged it as a valid play style. My point sort of was (and I'm not including you in this comment at all) that these same folks that grind the tree unattended are probably the same folks that complain there is no content.
Maybe they missed the content while they were afk having the "computer play for them". That to me seems to be the ultimate oxymoron - but hell, I'm just a fish!
I too believe those who complain about lack of content are those who grind. The only thing I will ever grind for will be Vehicles and space craft.
I didn't think it was possible to get med xp for healing a pet? I must be missing something or not understanding what you are talking about?
Tap
You get the xp for healing bleeds too. Found this out by healing one of my pets.

The other day I ran across two medics in a clinic, with a probot out, which seemed rather odd. Even odder, they seemed to be losing health and action just standing there! I healed them for a bit, thinking they had something like bleeding (I'm new to healing, just thought it was something I hadn't run into before).
Then I figured it out!
They were using a combat manuever that let them roll to a standing position, costing health and action, then healing each other. The Probot was a medical crafting unit, so when they ran out of stims, they made more, then started tumbling again!
Well, that's one way to pass the time between patients in the clinic. I was sort of embaressed, so I politely said good-bye and left. Personally, I'd have been less embaressed than if they'd been having sex. I mean really, explointing...and in public! (just kidding...I really hesitate to call this an exploit, especially since they stayed in the clinic and healed people as they came in)
I think I'll stick to taking my medical droin into the cantina and healing there. I don't know if thats any better, but until I find a PA that fights a lot, I need to practice SOMEHOW...and the cantina is sort of fun.
