A few weeks ago, I acuired a set of +10medicine use pants. I purchased them and equiped them. They worked great, but when I dropped the medic profession, withthe +10 medicine pants equipped I couldn't use a Stim A with +5 medicine use, so I thought no big deal skill enhanced items must not work unless you have the skill.

Well I did a /bug just to report it and get a straight answer. After an hour or so I got a response. The responed stated said, that it was indeed a bug and I should still be able to use Stim A with +5 medicine use while the pants are equipped without having to medic skill.

So can anyone verify this as being true?

I believe that you need to have the /healdamage command to be able to heal damage with a stimpack. In order to have that, you need to have Novice Medic.

If the command was available to everyone, you would have been able to use the stim without Novice Medic because of your +meduse.

That reply seems to be totally off base.

From the Oct 8th update:

Bio-engineer - Tissue Engineering: Removed Medicine Use from new crafted tissues. (Existing tissues and clothing crafted with those tissues will still report the Medicine Use modifier but they will not be counted for determining the level of medicine to be used.)

Actually, the first reply was totally ON base.

In order to use stimpacks, you must know the /healdamage command. That particular command is granted at Novice Medic. If you drop Novice Medic, then you lose the /healdamage command.

I thin they meant the CSR response was totally off-base:

"The responed stated said, that it was indeed a bug and I should still be able to use Stim A with +5 medicine use while the pants are equipped without having to medic skill."

Which would be completely wrong. Novice Medic gives the /healdamage command which would be the only way to use a stim. Outside of which, as was also pointed out above, Med Use enhancements have never and will never work. It;s not a bug at all, that's exactly the way it's supposed to work. THe bug is that you have any Med Use items at all that would cause the confusion.

Do you have the name of the CSR and perhaps a screenshot of their response or at least still have the email saved? I can try to pass the info along on to Thunderheart so they can make sure their Knowledgebase is updated so nobody else gets the wrong info on a question like that.

Yes, sorry for the confusion, I meant the CSR reply.
