I am only 2 skills away form master medic and i realized i have to gain 620 ap to qualify for the master. I currently only have 80 and 620 sounds like a lot, does anyone have a good strategy on gaining these points. thanks.

The higher the box of the skill, the more you get.
Training someone a IV box is worth more then a I box.
Advanced profession boxes are worth even more.
Going up more than 1 basic profession (scout, medic and artisan for example) gives you more chances to train people.

App points are a tough one. There is no "easy" way to go about it. Towards the end I hung out in a cantina and finished up my skills there. I was able to pick upa good amount of app points that way.

Apprentice points reward depends on the number of skill points required for the box you're training. 2 skillpoints required means you'll gain 20 app points. This means that tier 4 boxes in advanced professions are only worth 20 points, probably a holdover from when they took 5 skillpoints.

I'd say hang around a busy cantina. Even before the holo-craze, many would-be CMs and Docs would stim the entertainers in the cantina for med xp...once they hit a new box, they want training ASAP...I got a few hundred AppPts in one night because of this.

Keep in mind that you get Apprentice Points for ANY skill you teach (languages not included). So, if you were able to train folks in Brawler or Fencer, for example, then those Apprentice Points will count towards the 620 you need for Master Medic.

Dunno if this would sit perfectly well with most people, but in the past I've helped people from time to time (usually guildmates, but sometimes others) with AP-gainage by letting them teach me a level I skill repeatedly- namely, Exploration I in Scout line. I only had it for that terrain negotiation, and it only uses up 1k exp, while I had also maxed out my scouting exp at 30k (from having huntin IV and harvesting alot), so therefore I just 'learnt' and surrendered a bunch of that to whomever needed it at that time. Also, doing the level I skill almost always is more 'effecient' at getting exp vs. AP trade because exploration II requires 5k scouting exp, yet only gives 10 more AP. If you just did exploration I five times, you have would have insta-100 AP.

a good way to pick up a lot of AP is to find a friend with tons of combat xp that he doesn't need, andhave skillpoints to pick upnovice marksman + a level 1 skill. have him/her pick up novice marksman, andpick up novice marksman and ranged support 1 yourself. then teach this friend ranged support 1 over and over until you get enough AP.

Here is the way I've been doing it. My husband and I both have novice artisan just for doing this. We both have Surveying I trained. We both run a macro overnight, or during the day, that has our characters sampling. You can get a maximum of 5000 surveying experience points if Surveying I is trained. Then I will give up Surveying I and let him train me ten times, surrendering it each time until I have used up all of my extra experience. I use up 500 points of experience each time I train. I keep the last training. Then he surrenders Surveying I, and I train him ten times, with him surrending the skill except for the last time. This gives us both 200 apprenticeship points per day, with a side benefit of having some extra resources.
