well to get the stuff like meat u can be part scout and get that , look for high OQ and high PE in it , as for the inorganic u need to get a harvester to collect it for u , or u can buy it off a bazzar , after u grind a bit on it u can get new drafts to make and get better stims

and if ure on kuari i sell crates of sub components for the bigger stims . 1000/cr for a crate of 50 . that way u dont spend hours making them

Welcome to the calling! It's a tough job, but w/o us all of the combat guys and gals would be bantha fodder.

The first thing I did after using up my starter meds was to learn novice scout and novice artisan. I ran easy deliver and destroy missions until I had enough creds to buy a couple of resource scanners and then started harvesting my own resources. At the lowest levels, resource quality isn't a huge issue. All you need to do is to crank out lots of stim-a in order to gain organic chem xp.

Stim-A takes a small amount of organic and inorganic resources to craft. Find a mission terminal, take a destroy mission against some low-level creatures and harvest their corpses. There's your organic resource. After you've completed the mission, start resource scanning, find a decent concentration of something, and sample it. There's your inorganic (provided you're not sampling flora). Keep this up and you'll soon have enough resources to craft those stims.

You can also find a lot of help by looking at the very top of this forum where you will find the Medic FAQ (which stands for Frequently Asked Questions) as well as the Medic Guide.

If you REALLY want to get into the nuts and bolts of the profession and how crafting works you may want to head over to the Doctor and CM forums. They also have FAQ threads stickied at the tops of those forums that provide a lot of helpful suggestions and hints.
