Here are the patch notes that are of particular note to Medics. Note that there are others of note to Doctors and CMs, but these are the ones that are most likely to be of more direct interest to Medics.

Please let me know if you get a chance to get onto Test Center and find out anything else of interest, and please let us know how the new Chef Foods seem to be working out if you get a chance to try them.

Remember that these are Test Center Patch Notes, which means that these items may or may not ever make it to the Live Servers. Only through our testing and comments do these things live or die on Test Center.

Combat
• Combat XP grants were removed from combat healing, poisons and diseases. Those actions will still count towards looting permissions.

Professions: Chef
• Food Effects: Food effects are no longer limited to stat modifiers. Food created by Chefs can now enhance skills, give new protections and enhance combat abilities. There are even foods for medics, entertainers, and crafters. Examining a food item will display what it does. Food created before the patch will be unchanged. We encourage all players to seek out and try the new foods!

Professions: Droid Engineer
• Multi-crafting station module droid capability fixed for some cases where one type would over-ride another type.

Of note, I am currently uncertain if the Combat XP item includes Medic stimming, or if it only affects Combat Medic healing actions. There is no real need for Combat XP in the Combat Medic line, but it seems to me that there is a need for the Combat XP from healing actions for plain Medics in order to better attain the XP needed to get into the Combat Medic profession. I've asked for clarification on the issue, though, and will try to do some testing this weekend.

Chef foods could be a great thing, and they certainly want our feedback on things like the new Medic-realted foods. But I believe that some of the foods also perform healing actions... (Well, they kind of do that now, since a buff is, in effect, a for of temporary heal.) As such I think they will also want our feedback on how these foods affect us as Medics and how we feel it might impact us. Just take a closer look at the foods involved and offer your opinions if you get a chance.

Finally, I listed the droid module issue because I know of a lot of Medics with other crafting skills and previously if they tried to get mroe of a "all-purpose" crafting droid, it would really screw them over because only one of the crafting stations in that droid would actually work. It looks like they've gotten that fixed so you shuld be able to use a droid as both a Private Food & Chem Crafting Station as well as any other kinds of Private Crafting Station modules you may have in that droid.
