Thread: Stim-C's, worth the hassle?

I just got back into SWG last week after a 2 month lay-off. Christmas Holocron said, "Teras-Kasi"...So I thought why not? Wanted to try something different anyway.

With that I thought getting medic would be beneficial.

So, I've worked my way to 2-2-2-4 on medic. I just got the ability to make Stim C's.

When I saw the resources needed I almost flipped.

Half of them I can't find on the bazaar and the other half are REALLY expensive.

I've never used harvesters or such, I wouldn't even know where to start with them.

I was thinking of just sticking with Stim-B's and forgetting the cost and hassle of making C's.

Is this a wise move, or will it really hamper me?

I want to Master Medic if I can...again to augment TKA but also to eliminate one more profession to get for the FS.

Thanks.

Stim's C are worth it. I can make at best a 400 stim B but i have got C to well over 500 and you get quite a few more uses too. If you can find the resources to make the advanced components. your stims will be much better

Dont forget, unless you experiment their medical use down, you need -/-/4/- just to use Stim-Cs.

I use the higher level stims because you can use crappier components, thus lowering the cost, and get pretty good stims. I used stim Cs till I could use Ds. I have some Ds that are ow end, but they cost me virtually nothing to make because I only use one advanced component. They are 52/525 or 55/448 depending on what I am looking for.

There is a certian point that the power on wound packs and stims can become less important. I have found that anything above 500 on stims in a waste when healing unbuffed people and anything above 150 is a waste on wound packs. Higher power stims would be needed if you are healing pets or fighting something really hard that requires lots healing.

If more medics made these where a medic with 0-0-3-0 could use Stim-C's, I'd buy them all the time. But they dont, so I'm forced to buy B's.

C's are worth it, but D's are not, unless you're a CH and need to heal large HAM pets.

Sweet! I'm glad someone is thinking around here cuz I never thought of it like that.

A 450+Stim B would require all 3 components to be advanced level and 900+ resources at that (heh try keeping +900OQ Class 4 fuel stocked )

Whereas

Stim D's you could just make an Advanced LS with some great berries/water the 2 BECs and 1 CRDM could be made with whatever (finding a 900+OQ chemical isn't nearly as difficult as C4Fuel) and voila!!! I'm sure you could end up with a 550+/50 quite easily with great experimentation results.

Which is exactly what you have said above, I'm just putting it into my own words for my benefit... (Runs off to crafting station to make some D's)

Kudos
