Ok I am only a medic dabbler but I have trained up to the point I got First Aid so I could stop those Wounds well so far I am finding the skill completely useless.

Case 1) My GSP got hit with a nasty Bleed doing about 600 pts of Damage per tick. I personally used First Aid on my pet about 15 times, I had a novice Doctor and a Combat Medic also First Aiding my Pet. It took the 3 of us at least 15 tries and upteen million stim packs to keep him alive. This seemed rather ridiculous.

Case 2) same came, I got that wonder bleed wound. I hit First Aid at least 5 times, incapped, hit first aid 5 more times, incapped, hit First Aid 5 more times, Died. I mean come on what is the fricking use.

Anyway was wondering if anyone else felt this way.

Only other suggestion I have would be to never use First Aid only, but to intersperse actual stimming in with it. First Aid only tries to stop the bleeding, but it does not stop, only reduces, their stat loss. So they often still take damage while bleeding. So I normally worry about stimming a patient anytime they are at half-health and worry about First Aid only after that. If they drop below half again, I stim, then go back to First Aid.That should hel to prvent your second scenario from happening again, at least.

I think it's more imporant to keep ahead of the damage than it is to worry about the stat wounds. The wounds can be healed once you get the bleeding stopped.

600pt bleed? Wow, what were you fighting and was the 600pt bleed done in one hit? Or were they the end result of multiple stacked bleeds?

Im a Master Medic, whenever a tusken makes me bleed, I can stop my bleeding in 2 shots, the first time I use it it says "you have decreased bleeding". The second time "You have stopped bleeding". Nopw whenever I do this to someone other than myself it takes 2-5 tries, the most it ever took me to stop someones bleeding was like 10 tries with another medic helping too. Id say its real helpful using it on yourslef and takes awhile on someone else.

I got a 600 pt bleed from one of the tougher guys around a newbie rebel mission objective. Like a master theif or something. I ran to town as fast as I could and basically got there just in time. I had incapped twice before I got there. The only thing is, stimming wouldn't have done any good, since it was hitting my mind pool. Fortunately it took the medic only three times to stop it.

Stimming doesn't help with mind bleeds though.

I noticed last night it seems to take a lot to cure the bleed from actionshot1 but far less to cure the bleed from healthshot2- it seems to be the same regardless of damage (I think 4 applications for healthshot2 and 15 for actionshot1!).

I think first aid is great.

One hit usually does it for me, with expert wound treatment attained.

if the wounds are sever, like you said 600 per tick, It takes me about 4 tries, but I heal in between tries.
