Thread: Whats the best way to get to Bio-Engineer?
I know I need scout skills and im not really concerned about that, but its the medical crafting. Novice Medic is probably the most difficult starting profession (i've tried them all)
The real problem is getting resources to craft with. I'm too poor to maintain a harvester (let alone buy one) and finding generous scouts or crafters to donate supplies isn't easily done. Medical foraging is completly useless. So I ask. How do I get the supplies needed to climb Organics.
Well, if your into scouting then organics shouldn't be a problem since you can harvest animals etc, but to get inorganics you may need to pick up artisan & survey tools to sample for your own resources.
Either that or you run missions to buy your resources.
At least if you scout for your Organics you get both scouting and medical xp when you use the organics for making meds.
Hope that helps
Well as an intermediary,
Get scout skills, marksman skills, and artisan skills. Solo some destroy missions (make sure you read the good guides on how to do this effectively). You'll get a bunch of organics and a bunch of cash. Buy a wind generator, an ore harvester, a chem harvester, and a water vaporator. Place the harvesters in a good vein. Sell the ore for 6 creds a unit, in a good vein you should get around 9k or so a day in creds for this. The harvesters will cost u about 3.5k a day in upkeep. Collect the resources for a couple of days and grind away. You should be at ochem IV before you know it. If you want variety group up and use your stims in a group. I got to ochem IV long before anything else in the medic tree.
Surrender your skills as needed when you get to BE.
