Thread: questions regarding stim packs...

I am only a basic novice medic who makes stim pack a. But this question isn't for me (sounds like I'm visiting a therapist).

I have a friend who is working his way through medic, planning on becoming a combat medic. He can make stimpack B now but refuses to do so becuase he says "They are too hard to make" and they "don't do much better".

This just seems to me thatthis shouldn't be true. He must be doing something wrong. It seems counter productive to me to climb up the medic skills in order to have access to knew equipment and then not use it because the old equipment is "good enough"

so, my question is, what is he doing wrong? I suspect that stimpacks can be experimented to make them better. I am a ranger and CH so I never had any reason to do any expeiementing. If this is true, is experimenting something that only has to be done once, then from then on your stimpacks are better? Or does it make the whole crafting process long and complicated? Would I benefit from experiementing my stimpack As?

Best Regards

My stimpack A that I made last night in the factory are all 89 heal quality (that is 40% extra effectiveness)

I was the same way (thinking that B's sucked) and did not make any B's, went right to C's, now that I have used C's for a long time, I'm starting to make B's...

It is all about how well you can make them. My A's are better than some B's... but even at his level, the B is better, but not by much, because he has to make 3 sub assy to make 1 heal, however the A has 10 uses and a B should have mid 20's

If it makes you feel better I used A then C and now that I can make D I'm still using C (because the D that I can make is not all that good)

It works the same with a weaponsmith, just because you CAN make it does not mean its better... my DL20a rifle is better than most new weapons out there, because the quality is so much better.

i find As are capped at 13 charges and 89 effectiveness no matter how good my resources are...ne1 else notice this?

when u have very few experimentation points like at chem I you will find little or no difference between our As and Bs. Bust as u gain more and more points you will find that Bs power up with experimentatio much more than ur As

I'm am very definately new to crafting, but I have found that with careful selection of resources and good experimentation on just the last step (basically totally ignoring the components for the first 3 crafted components) I could get up to about 120 effectiveness, as opposed to the 70-80 I had on stim As. Also, I saw on the bazaar a stim B with an effectiveness of 200+.

I can honestly say that is not true. I have in the past produced Stim A's with 100+ heal ratings on them (I think I maxed around 120 when I gave up on those and started consentrating on B's)

My Stim B's are regularly 250-290... I have produced heal ratings of 300 and 31 charges on Stim B's, but lack the resources to mass produce them at this time.... so resources ABSOLUTLY make a difference!!

My advice... keep at it till you get it ... the potential is out there.

^ agreed,

my Stim b schematic that i made last night has 25 charges and 252 heal rate.

I experimented on Each component and made schematic until had power of 10-12 on each part ( does that make a differece ) Copper with 900's in Overall and Skin with near 990 Overall ( have like 3k of them)

what i havnt tried yet is if u can use the adv. components in the B's ???

Component quality and resource qualitymakes a HUGE difference. My current production run of adv. bio controllers and chem and liquid devices nets a stim B that is 209x24. A doctor that supplies me with stimBs for sale can make stimBs that are 337x31. It all in the experimentation of the parts and the quality of the resources.

If you took the time to experiment each part to amazing and used all advanced parts and had master doctor medical crafting I am sure you could have a stimB in the high 300s.

I've suspected that stim B's could actually go into the low to mid 400's. What I'm working with now are 250+ without experimenting on the final product (using only the best advanced comps I have for the moment... and I know those can be better then what I have).... Anyhow, to the point... I'm only a Stimpack Chemist and I'm getting these results. A Doctor should be able to blow these numbers away all together with the right resources.
