/medicalforage

Isn't /medicalforage worthless at this time?

Perhaps it should giveyou an option of things that you can forage in the immediate area?

For example,if I were todo /medicalforage -- after a couple of seconds-- I have a list of 4 or 5 things that I may forage in the immediate area.

I select one and then I would retrieve anywhere from7 to 15 of that particular ingredient...??

As it stands now, the skill is useless as far as I can tell. Am I missing something?

you are right medical forging is useless. because it so useless i have to buy inorganic materials of the brazzar at a heavy price.i get my organic compounds being a scout though. Something has to be done.I'm just starting out and don't have time to survey(to boring) and can't pay alot for recources.

If by fixing it you mean removing it, then yeah, probably get replaced by the /diagnose command when thats released.

If you dont want to sample, you leave yourself with little choice other than to buy from the Bazzar, organics are quite easy to come across if your a scout, but inorganics would probably need purchasing from other sources.

lol how will allowing medics the ability to use survey tools in order to place harvester in anyways taking anything away from the artisans...

I laugh..

come on the truth is that all crafters rely on harvesters...so actually placing a harvester and getting 1 sample to delve its stats is far more important than pulling massive amounts of resources...

lol i jsut laugh that i have to spend 15 skill points just so i can place a harvester without an artisanholding my hand

If you stand in a river you can't get water... so why should you get flowers.. besides, everything smaller than trees isn't the same on everyone's screen.

Actually, /medicalforage was useless when it was first added. I like having it around as proof that the devs really don't understand what playing a medic is like. The fact that they actually thought that was going to solve the problem was really sad.

Scorus: /agree

I was floored when Holo got on the Beta boards and caid he just could not understand why Medics were having problems with money. They just needed to charge for their services.

Funny how the first week after live he pulled out the metrics showing that/tip only accounted for less that 1% of the economy, where in Beta it was 10%. He just couldn't understand it.

I guess they just didn't fully understand the nature of the profession, what other MMO players expect of such a profession, nor what kinds of people the profession attracts that like to play it. /shrug

Response? I got a response?

Traigus you got a response?

Yep. I think you got that one right, Elenora. I don't think ANY of the med class correspondents have gotten a response. I hear the Rangers are happily taling away with teh Devs, though, and maybe the Commandos too.

At least somebody might be gettin' some lovin'.

hey now...i know the absence of sound is the sound of silence...

so we do have a response from the devs and its...silence

lol oh we got a response alright. You know in many cultures where its not polite to outwardly refuse people, silence speaks volumes.....

According to Q's post today.

Xahn: Is currently in Austin to have lots of meetings with the designers to get answers for the remaining Correspondent issues. Expect to hear the answers through the Correspondents as we want them to be the focus of information.

So they actually paid for a plane to get us answers. lol
