Hey all,

I'd like to share the results of a little experiment I performed this morning. I wanted to try to quantify the difference between a stim b made with 'advanced' components from poor resources (all that is available) and a stim b made with normal components of higher quality (800+). I made two stims without experimentation. The 'advanced' stim came out with a heal value of 147 and 23 charges and the 'normal' stim came out with a heal value of 119 and 19 charges. This means that the stim B made with advanced components is about 20-25% better than a 'normal' one made with better quality resources.

Some other comparison points:

The advanced components take more total resources (total of 80 for a stim b - advanced vs 40 for normal)

You can perform more experimentation on a normal stim b because of the better components

In order to use advanced stim bs you need to keep 8 different hard to find resources on hand while for normal ones you only need four (organic, chemical, water and metal)

My conclusions: While I enjoyed hunting for the different resources necessary and succeeding in making the advanced component stims, I will only be making them until my supplies run out. After that I will go back to 'normal' ones...

Not sure if this helps anyone but here it is just the same...

Actually, Liquid Suspensions are very, very much worth the cost. The others much less so. Your experiments allow a lot of unnecessary variables into the mix, try doing it this way:

Make Liquid Suspensions until you get a Great or amazing success. For me, that results in a power of 35ish.

Then make Advanced Liquid Suspensions until you get a Great or Amazing success. For me, that results in a power of 110s.

Now, understand that when you combine the three ingredients into the final Stim, before experimentation, the power of the three adds to a base number for each stim to get the healing total. So the difference between a basic and an Advanced Liquid Suspension is about 75 points added to the PRE-EXPERIMENTED total of the stim. So that total will then be increased by the experimentation process.

CRDs and BECs have far smaller basic and advanced numbers and therefore it is of questionable use to use the advanced. But the Advanced Liquid Suspensions could very easily give you an extra 100 healing points, especially if you have a factory and can duplicate a single amazing success 100 times.
