The first half of this post is CM specific, but the last 1/2 is revelant to all medical professions

What we need is a /healrangeddamage command?

Why you may ask? simple....

Right now Ranged stims use /healdamage to use stims correct?

So basically the only thing keeping other medics from using ranged stims and aoe stims is?! That's right CM med use requirements....

Now if skill enhancements are repaired and start to give working bonuses...whats to stop novice meds from getting CM med use skill enhancements to get the ability to use CM stims. Dots do not have this issue since you need to train CM in order to get /appypoison and /applydisease.

This is a major possible exploit that i forsee coming if skill enchancements by BEs are repaired and go live...This also leads to the large question of the effects of skill enhancements on the medic professions in general...

The medic professions are unique compared to the other classes in that we dont get certs for usingour stims. Unlikecombat classes thatget weapon certs to get access to higher and better guns, the abilityto use higher level packs and thus ultimately heal betteris granted by a skill. A skill whichcan ultimately be enhanced...so can we expect to see novice medics using stim Cs and Ds? or novice doctors using EnhanceCs andDs and maybe doctors with only 2 boxes in med knowledge using Es?Problem?Comments? Good?Bad? What do u guys think?!

That's a good point. I had been wondering about similar issues myself. I don't have an answer but it is definitely a question that needs to be raised.

Same as any othe profession.

I have not seen a total bonus over +25 so far.. overall that's pretty low.

Also anyone that uses their enhancement spots for this cannot use them for something else... like their main skills.

It is a tradeoff.

there are any number of skills that could be used this way...

Hell CM's can get +surveying (novice artisan is +20 surveying)and not have to take novice artisan to sample.

Personally... who cares. .there will be a lot of low level crossover... but it wil;l be low level crossover, that will use up spots you want fo other stuff...

I doubt any high level combatant will bother using up enhancement point slots i ntheir regular gear to use ranged stim A's...

actually I think the survey and sample commands that you get at novice artisan would put a stop to that idea already.

using survey tools and sample requires the /sample commmand...scouts have /harvest

if u think about it, only ranged stim arent linked to a command right now...

weapons are linked to certs...so there is none of the problems with skill enhancements...

i think ranged heals feel through a crack in the devs thinking

i guess terrain negotiation could be exploited in this manner too....

As far as I know, bio-engineers can't make CM skill mods. Same for terrain negotiation.

Unless I missed something (quite possible).

They might drop as skill attachments though, so far the ones I've seen haven't been spectacular.
