Thread: Medical Advice
I am going Master CH/Carbineer, which leaves me w/ 35 pts after picking up Novice Medic. I would like to be able to heal my pets effectively and make my own stims. My question is what will be the more effective healing combo: FA 4, Diag 4, Pharm 1, Chem 2 = making Stim B's; or FA 2, Diag 1, Pharm 4, Chem 4 = making Stim C's and being able to use them. Any input would be much appreciated.
Thx,

Mmm, kind of a tricky one..
Stim C's would be the best you could get without master medic, but then you'll need Phar 4 to use them, otherwise you'll waste all your time Stimming away with 150 shot B's.
But then, without FA & Diag you wont behealing as muchor as quickly?
So that leaves two alternatives:
1) Get master medic and be done with it
2) Wait for the Pet stims to beadded to the CH linein a future version
How about 4,2,4,1 and then buy crates of Stim C's from friends. That will get you the greatest healing potential, plus will allow you to make the Wound-A's for when you're in a pinch.

Thanks for the input. Now, decisions, decisions, decisions.

If you're picking up medic skills primarily to heal your pet you might want to wait a bit. I had seen something that indicated Bio-Engineers would soon be the only ones capable of making a pet stim. I think that would mean the normal medic stim would no longer work on pets. I don't recall if it was in the upcoming patch, or something they are working on for later.
Either way you might want to keep an eye on the patch notes when it gets here, to be on the safe side.

What I hope is that the Bio-Engineer stims will be for pets only, and won't require medical use skill in order to use them. This will allow pet owners to help their pets without having to spend 15 points for Novice Medic.
BUT...
...I also hope that regular stims will continue to work on pets, because it would really stink if they didn't.

I will be very PISSED OFF if they make med stims unable to heal pets. I like having the med skills to heal myself since pet AI is so messed up and the pets enjoy bringing the mob right to me. I pride myself in having a true SOLO character and I do not want to have to depend on a BE to heal my pet, or do I want to take up BE skills. I have followed the template for the character I wanted since before release, and I am really enjoying it.
