Medic Archive

Looks like Novice Musicians, Dancers, Doctors and Combat Medics have this new ability. It's description read "Provided the appropriate skill-set for the venue, this command allows the user to register with an inactive planetary map location marking it as active ('manned')"

I know this wasn't in the patch notes, so can someone please explain what this is supposed to be used for and why it wasn't in the patch notes?

I need to test this, and since I won't be on for a while I can't. Here's what I THINK it does:

When you enter a med center, cantina, etc where you have the skills to work there you can "man" it. For instance, as a Doctor I enter the med center. I flag "man" and on the map the med center should flag "manned." I.e. I just put out the "doctor is in" sign. This would be GREAT if it works, especially for the "lower medical personal" populated planets. I'm HOPING you'll see a change in the med center on the Cntl-M map. Though most likely it's a change on the Cntl-V map where you can call up a waypoint of "manned med centers" or something.

Could someone test this before I do? Otherwise I won't be able to say anything for a few days. (Darn Overtime at Work)

What happens is "manned centers have a "*" next to thier listings on the rigth side of the map (if people expand the lists... unmanned places have a ")"

Very useful in times of day where there are fewer people on.

Your name isn't listed.. it jsut tells peopel "someone" is there... be a while until people get used to looking.
