if this ever goes IG, i hope ppl wont be able to just have an overt tumble for them so they could heal and get fp the idea has alotta possible exploitations that come along with it

But a macro:


/applypoison;

/pause x;

/healdamage;

/pause x;

...


Is not going to be nullified in the combat revamp...


Oh well, you and the devs seem capable enough to come up with a good way to eliminate 90% of exploit situations... And the remaining 10% is what TC and the player test base is for. So I'll get out of your way.

Don't be silly j, you keep coming up with ways to exploit it, and that's good. If there are ways to exploit something the rest of us think up, then we don't want it going live.

so do we know anything about the new HAM system yet? Or are we just guessing atm

True. But it's far too premature to really talk about exploits in the system when the system is still in design phase... As they say, too many cooks and all that.


I'll be happy to try to find ways to exploit what you propose (and there is a large group in TC who makes doing this their goal... ), but it's probably better to give you and the devs some peace to come up with a mostly working solution (90%) before trying to find loopholes (10%).

I'm glad to hear there will be a role for all character types in the galactic civil war. Right now it is limited to a minority of classes, many of them being crafting or support classes.

We know that it will be pretty much what was loaded onto TC in november for a test run. There is a specials bar that cannot be healed, but regens quickly, and I think it is affected by buffs, of course, buff sizewill be reduced in the CB. As for whether the secondaries affect it, I don't know the answer to that, I'm not sure if anyone does.


That's about the extent of what I know.

Well, seeing how strength/quickness/focus are dedicated to allowing a person to spam more specials, I don't see how secondaries could not affect the specials bar unless those stats were removed from the game (ugh), or allowed you to use specials faster somehow (double ugh).


I would hypothesize that health, action, and mind, constitution, stamina, and willpower are the same now, and that strength, quickness, and focus become "regenerate specials bar" parameters. Unless there is a single consolidated specials bar instead of 3, in which case I expect they will continue to affect the HAM cost (now specials cost) in approximately the same way they do right now (just add up the HAM costs in current system and deduct the total from a new bar rather than the HAM bars).


This is all purely speculation though.
