Now you guys know how scouts and rangers feel with almost everyone having some scout. Those people who are just dabbling in scout harvest low quality resources and sell them on the market. Thus flooding it with low cost quality stuff for low prices, which drives down the prices of our higher quality resources.

It would be nice to use even stim A's without using those 15 points, but I understand and think it should be left as is.

Anyone else see this coming? No. As (maybe) Bs (never) and certainly no wound packs.

Ok.

I see this was not a well recieved idea.

I asked for your opinions and you gave them.

Some more vehemently than others.

Some thought stim A's might be ok and ruled out B's.

Maybe B's was asking for too much.

The general gist of my idea was that anybody can buy clothes and use them, but only artisans can make them.

Now I am refining the idea a bit.

As it stands now in the game, anybody can use a CDEF gun, or a flame thrower, for the matter, but it won't do anywhere near as much damage as if you had the proper certifcations to use them.

So instead of everyone being able to use Stim B's as I had originally proposed, maybe people could use Stim A's, or something even weaker. But if you don't think that's a good idea either, that's fine.

Some made me see problems with my idea and the effects it would have on the medical professions that I had not considered.

I hadn't thought what it could do to the marketplace, and that maybe havinga ton more potential customers might not necesarily be a good thing

For one thing, I didnt know that doc can get bombarded with tells asking for Stims etc. I have since eperienced something similar. I was on Endor and had my Apprentice Musician title I had at the time turned on. I kept getting tells from people desperate for healing. I helped some, but I was really there to be with my friends and get weapon xp, so I really didn't want to be solicited that much.

Thanks for your responses.

As for my case:

I decided what I was going to do not long after I made this thread.

I'm still going for Master Bounty Hunter. I will keep Novice Medic so I can still heal myself and my hunting buds with Stim B's. I will drop Pisoleer so I can stay an Entertainer and be able to play the Cantina song (AKA Star Wars 2)so I can still role play a bounty hunter that moonlights as an amature musician.

Voila. That's all my skil points, and a character I'll be pretty happy with.

Thanks for your time

lets do it like flamethrowers

base attack = 1000 dmg

with no certification = 4 dmg

thats a Stimpack A doing lets say listed for 70dmg /250 = 0.28 Health / Action heal

ok!

btw the point that u said that u would still have 33 skill points is driving me INSANE!

if u had 0, u would have to give things up in order to be able to heal yourself, wich is a huge advantage

but u have 33 skillpoints ->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SPEND EM

I am new to the medic profession, but from what I have been able to gather so far, there are more medics who want to RAISE the requirements for Stim Bs than those who want to lower them. It is actually pretty silly to have the same requirements for Bs as you do for As. If anything they should be raised.

I say make something like personal stimpack for non medics, heals about like a stimpack A, but can only use on yourself. You can not use it on others, because you are not a trained personal to heal someone properly or something like that. Stim Bs for everyone? I see a lot of Stim Bs with 300+ power, thats a lot of healing for not being in the profession. Just spend the 15 points for it

Not even no - but NO!

In fact, Stim B's should require at least one level of Pharmacology

A base medic - one with only Novice Medic and no other skills should NOT be able to use Stim Bs. There's way too many combat classes running around using uber Stim Bs. That would be like me taking Novice Marksman and being able to use an superfast, high damage Scout Blaster effectively, without having to spend any skill points in the Pistol column.

Ok. Like I said, it seems people think Stim B's are way too powerful to for non medics to use, even just on themselves.

Some think self-use of Stim A's, or maybe something even weaker, for self use only, might be ok.

What do you think about that?

I am now not asking about Stim B's

Also, I currently have no skill points left. I keep giving skills up to gain more skills. I have figured out how to spend all my skill points in a way that I will be happy with. That includes being a medic so I can still use Stim B's.

NO.

What's the point of going novice medic if you can use StimB already? Woundtreatment isn't worth it unless you get good woundpacks (A's stink).
