Thread: Master Medic is taking ages

Mastered Medic tonight! <hoorah> My experience was that exp was relatively slow UNTIL I bought several Advanced components for crafting Stims. I made a few Stim B's with the advanced components and some decent organic/inorganic components. My average experience per heal went from 80 or so to 150 or so. I was pulling in exp faster than I knew what to do with. Got that last box PLUS the med exp needed to take Combat Medic in record time.

I mastered medic 3 nights ago in 1 hour 45 minutes...easiest thing EVER!!!! Get a bunch of cash, buy stims, go to hospital and cantina and heal, heal, heal...then craft meds real fast and your done...probably heped that I have literally an endless supply of money from being an architect, but I should think anyone could do this on the cheap real quick as well.

I mastered medic in a day or two, but I was lazy about it. all you really need is enough inorganic and organic to make lots of stims, practice them, and buy some good Bs to use on tumblers.

Pardon the newbie question, but what are BEC's?

Also, where do ya'll get your inorganic material? I asked my friend who's a master doctor, and she said you have to get a resource extractor. But before you do that, you have to figure out where to put it. And I figured that with TKN and a teencie bit of medic skills, I wouldn't have what it takes to figure out where to put an extractor.

I think now I'm 1210 medic. I just hovered around the cantina in Coronet last night for about an hour.

BEC = Bio Effects Controler

ABEC = Advanced Bio Effects Controler

These are used as a subcomponent in most meds.

i mastered medic in an hour and a half. i had a friend run a dancing macro that used stam so fast i couldnt keep up with the healing. i made a healing macro that healed as soon as my timer was up and i went up the speed tree first. i used a crafting macro that utilized 5 crafting tools at once, all i did was select the resourses. i went through the whole crafting tree in under a half hour.

Can you post that crafting macro here, or point to where it's at?

Thanks

Check out www.iootnega.com it's the website for the Doctor Correspondent. It's full of VERY useful info for new and experienced Medics. It's the best FAQ site for Medic, Doctor and Combat Medic. Plus the resource filter will let you know what medical resources are on your server.

Here's mine from memory (I'm at work right now):

First a few notes.

1) I had four crafting devices. I found that I ended up waiting for a few seconds if I had three, and four was just right. For the early stage crafting, a generic crafting device works just as well asa food and chemical crafting device. Four crafting devices, four macros. Not all that pretty, but it worked. Each macro used the different F-key. Other than that, they were identical.

2) I put my four crafting devices in my inventory on the shift-F-keys F6-F9. Put them wherever you like. In my example, I'll be using Shift-F6.

3) I kept my macro window open. When I would finish crafting, I'd double click the next macro name and continue on. I didn't do loops in my macros. I guess you could, but I didn't.

4) You'll have to experiment with the /selectDraftSchematic option -- find one that is pretty simple. Like the Stimpak-A, for instance. It only requires two ingredients. Not a lot of experience, but you can bang a whole bunch out very fast.

5) Adjust the /pause step to your liking. I found that when I got in a rhythm, I could do a 6-second pause easily.

-----------

/ui action toolbarSlot17;

/selectDraftSchematic 10;

/pause 6; <---- here's where you double-click your ingredients and press enter to go to the next stage

/nextCraftingStage;

/nextCraftingStage;

/createPrototype practice no item;

/createPrototype practice no item;

------------

That's mine. I didn't go for elegance, I went for functionality. I found that it would always say "Crafting session has ended!" when it quit. I got the xp anyway. I don't know what that means. Also, I read that you had to practice away from a crafting station..

Ive nearly mastered this, its almost as easy to master as SL.

I set a macro

/healdamge;

/pause 7.5;

/ui action toolbarPane<the numer pane youput the macro in tool bar>;

/ui action toolbarSlot<the slotyou put the macro in>

and then just targeted a tumbler in coronet med center, started the macro and then sat there grinding out stim B's.

1 more box needed, only problem is that because Ive nearly mastered it so fast I only have 90 AP xp. So will have to spam teaching or join some groups and hope that ppl want training in TKM. Never used to have trouble with getting AP xp cause I was a master smuggler and could get loads of xp for teaching it, but Ive dropped it to become a medic.
