Thread: Medic Correspondent Stepping Down

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've put in my notice that I intend to step down as Medic Correspondent. I'm sure TH will be putting up a request for a replacement sometime next week and I'll certainly keep things going and passing along any information (if there is any to pass along, which there just hasn't been) until someone else takes over.

It's been fun and the Medical professions have certainly been a blast to play andthe players of those professions ahve been a joy to talk to and read on these forums. I'm sure anyone chosen from these forums in particular will be more than suited for handling the job. Besides, the lists of issues are all pretty much made so it should be pretty easy to get into (and this forum doesn't get much traffic anyway.)

Just to **edit** it in the bud, there is no conspiracy to my stepping down. I've simply gotten bored wtih the game. Oh, sure, I've had other issues and things I think could be done to improve the game or make it less boring for my playstyle, but overall I just haven't played in almost a month now and I haven't really missed it. Maybe when Space comes out I'll try it again.

It's been fun!

On a serious note, you've been the best correspondent IMO, for what's its worth. Stay in touch with us.

Well, that's certainly a part of all the many things that I think could be improved in the game. I even left a "debrief" post on the Correspondent forum with some of my thoughts on where SWG could definitely use improvements, but none of it was any real news, since I'd experessed my opinion on all of that before. But some folks take those kinds of posts as whining or complaining that those are the "reasons" for moving on to something else. In this case the simple turth is that most of the folks I had been gaming with left the game long ago and I've tried to occupy myself in the game in different ways, but in all I've just gotten bored with it and that's really all there is to it. It;s the forums and you guys that kept me interested in staying around for any real length of time.

Thanks to all for the sentiments. As I mentioned it's you guys that have really made the more enjoyable parts of the game... well... enjoyable.

We've lost a good person for the medic community.

I still appreciate you filling the role as CM correspondent awhile back. You were number #1 correspondent in my book from then on. I too have become more of a lurker on the forum then a poster though so i do see where you are coming from. I hope you at least keep up to date with SWG and will come back when space hits. Perhaps you can give one last "exit" post before you finnally leave to push for everything you think can be improved (you've probably done this before, but one more time can't hurt).
