Thread: XP for A-wing question

I was just curious, but has anyone else noticed that A-wings seem to give a tad bit less XP than they should?

Killing a Y-wing is about 7k, B wing and X wing about 8k...but an A wing is only 6k. To me the A-wing is the hardest to kill, so is the XP based purely on ship armor?

Just wanted to get some opinions.

Its more likely firepower. An Awing is comperable to the interceptor as far as XP goes. The Ywing is like the TIE bomber.

I also believe it has more to do with the relative lethality in the game's eyes.

NPC B-Wings/Y-Wings (and their Privateer/Imperial equivalents) have two projectile mounts plus missiles. It might be simple to get behind these guys and send them to Hell quite efficiently, but when they get the drop on you, it can hurt like hell...especially in the B-Wing clouds in Deep Space. Nothing's more lethal in this game than multiple T5 B-Wings/Y-Wings stuck together in formation, all launching missiles and ion/blaster combos into your shields. Even turrets can't equal how quickly this can eat away shielding.

X-Wings and A-Wings (and again their equivalents) are armed with (it seems) only one projectile weapon (as you never see more than just the wingtip lasers firing on NPC X-Wings).
