Just a general question about the Linear Miasma POI in Endor. Well, okay, maybe a few general questions.

First off, all of the ships are Rebel Alliance types (Z-95s, X-Wings and Y-Wings) with gold/yellow markings. Now, obviously these ships are not exclusive to the Alliance, as there are other X-Wing and Z-95 groups in the game. But when you target one of them, they come up with an Imperial insigna. I find this interesting, since as a Rebel Alliance pilot, they do not agro me. In fact, they are all yellow on my radar. I can, however, attack them. When I do so, they DO NOT link. I can literally pick them off one at a time without drawing link or agro from the others. And although they are clearly listing as Imperials, I also do not get Faction Points from them when PvP Overt in Endor.

It just seems to me that something there isn't right. Rebel ships that list as Imperials, but do not agro other Rebels. Do they agro other factions? Are they related to a mission that I did not do, since I currently have only gone up one pilot profession? Anyone know what their deal is?

All I know is from reading the POI description in my data window. They're friendly scientists doing some kind of research. I'm guessing there'd be alot more information available from someone more familiar with the EU. I'm guessing they're technically Imperial or Imperial funded academics in the passenger shipsbut since they're using second rate (i.e. not 'line' Imperial units) fighters the escorts are probably hired security forces. These guys aren't 'really' Imperial in the sense they're up to fighting and dying for The Emperor but they've got the symbology because it's who they were in some part of EU canon.

I'm guessing the failure for the group to aggro on a hostile act against a member of the group is a bug. It's the same thing when my undeclared Freelancer attacks a TIE. Usually his buddies don't swing around to defend him. They just patiently wait their turn.
