This is mission is certainly impossible. Not for the mission, because of the other ships with Tier 4 and I with weapons Tier 2. That's Crazy. After The initial mission and then two mission more, in the third mission (cargo dock and escort) four Tier 4 pirates attack me and I can't do anything.

This is bugged or the developers don't try this.

May be impossible, but I just soloed it /shrug. Soloed the 2nd mission in Storm Squadron tier 3 as well. Working on the third now.

EDIT: Just finished Tier 3 Mission 3.

It's hard, you haven't even got the part where you are swarmed with A-Wings. I had a tier 4 pilot help me, and only through a ton of jinking and juking was I able to dock and download my data to the shuttle. Only had 10% armor left after it.

Yes, sad part, you need to encounter with non-mission Tier4 spawns

You can usually avoid any non-mission spawns by taking the long route to your waypoint. Just fly to the side of the spawn about 1500 meters away then head for your mission.

Knuckle up, baby. Storm Squadron's the hardcorepath to Imp Ace, not the scenic route . For pretty much all the SS missions, starting with tier 3 mission 1, you're going to need help. Even if it turns out you don't need it, you'll find it extremely handy.

yeah, marzuk may be good but this isnt his first ace, so he has experience and probably a library of good parts to use at each level, its best to get either more then one extra or one tier 4 or above helpto crack the mission if its your first time through. And remember, when you die its all over, its good get get a kick ass engine and booster so you can get the hell out of dodge when you have problems.

Yeah, I learned my lesson. I brought 2 other tier 3 pilots to help me on Storm's 2nd Tier 3 mission, we got pwned by a swarm of tier 4 pirates, as well as the tier 3 mission guys. We got swarmed by 10-15 fighters at once.

3/2/2/2 was where I got stuck a month ago, took a break and went and mastered corsec on tempest and came back to storm and found some friends and finished it with little problems.

Definitely need to have your radar always set to 8km and keep all non-mission red dots on or outside of the red armor ring in your radar. Also make sure you are using all the overload programs and shieldstunt.

Best of luck to you!

Just finished Storm Squadron solo. Used 2 crafted Ion cannons, a mediocre engine, a mediocre capacitor, and some decent sheilds.. that was about all that would fit in this little bucket LOL.

Is it just me or is this a really, really, long mission. I haven't even completed it yet. I'm taking a break from it to work on TKA. If I remember correctly don't you 1. protect a transport, 2. rescue a transport, 3. Dock with some other transport, 4. investigate some recon ship, 5. help some other transport, 6. do some other time sink that is unrelated.

A buddy of mine and I got as far as I mentioned above before I was over-run with teir-4 A-wings. What else comes after that?

heres a tip: get sum help. After u finish ur first one, learn the ships skill, and get a bomber. W/ my bomber, i soloed my tier 3 missions. Once u get to 3/3/2/2, ur home free. You could get 2/3/2/2, but stronger parts might not fit in ur tie/in. Wait till u get to tier 4 tho, lol.

Hi all.

I have browsed the board and seen references to this, but no real advice. SO...

I have been stuck on the first mission of tier 3 of Storm Squadron for a long time now, and the temptation to start over...AGAIN (I switched from reb to imp a while ago) is quite great.

I escort the transport, re-claim the transport, and disable/dock with the advanced recon fighter without incident. In fact, I upgraded my ship loadout last night and these steps became quite easy...wheras I used to have overlapping waves of fighters, now I can take out each wave with a comfortable amount of time in between.

THEN...I get to the portion of the mission where I have to dock with a freighter to help with repairs, and this is where I fail every time. I get jumped by 5 tier 4 pirates flying Z-95s. Last night I actually lasted long enough to dock with and repair the freighter...unfrtunately, that's when the reb ship waves began, and I just got swarmed.

The problem is that I can't destroy the pirates! I shot one of them for five solid minutes last night, and he never got below 50%. For every point I took off, he would recharge by 2! Before anyone asks, I AM using droid commands...I have 2 ready chips in my FC, so I am using an overcharged capacitor and the capacitor to shield shunt when I need it...this helped me to survive a bit longer than usual, but it just delayed the failure. I have tried using weapon overload, but even with an overcharged capacitor, it really drains my energy, especially if I am converting it to shield power.

If anyone has any tips on how to get rid of these pirates, I would appreciate it...the waves of reb fighters aren't the problem.

THanks.

BTW i am flying a TIE/In...I cannot afford a heavy TIE
