ok simple question ....well sort of ....when you disable a ship that has cargo and you dock with the ship , your told that the cargo is transferred to your ship , yet i can't find it anywhere , do you have to install a cargo hold or something in particular ? basically what I'm asking is what has happened to the cargo that's been transfer from the disabled ship to my ship ?, I'm currently using a Y-wing , don't know if that's significant or not ?

It's a virtual thing (well, lets not get into that too deeply). The cargo doesn't actually exist in your inventory, a flag just gets set saying you finished that part of the mission.
Don't worry if it doesn't show up in your inventory. If the quest message says you got it, you got it.

Ummm...
I'm not on a mission ?...i just thought I'd try and steal some cargo , y'know see if i can make a little extra cash , its not part of any mission , just fly up to a cargo ship and inspect it , if it has cargo , disable the ship and dock with it , the cargo gets transferred to your ship , well it "say's" it does , but...*shrugs*...nuffin.

Ah.
Space piracy is something Privateers have been asking for. Would add a nice dimension to the game for people who want to avoid the faction war. You don't get anything at this time, besides normal space loot drops. So no robbing innocent civilians for you

Awww...and i was so looking forward to yelling things like "avast" n "me'hearty's " n stuff , guess I'll just have to settle for blowing all them poor little(insert enemy ship name here )up then
