DONT ACCEPT A DUEL UNLESS YOUR WILLING TO GET BLOWN UP....(dueled an IMP blew him up and he tells me to go to (H) E DOUBLE HOCKEYSTICKS...trying to keep it clean...anyway....

He accepted my duel whilst I was flying my new B-Wing..with all 4 weapon slots loaded...

So you take it to the public, rather then talking to the dude in question, resolving the problem?

Kinda... juvenile. (sorry)

If something like that happens it is allways smarter to (calmly) clear the problem with the person you have the problem with. If this person only responds in slander or whining, there´s allways the nice /addignore function and in the worst cases report him to a CSR for harrasment and be done with it...

But do not carry it to the public... because:

1.) youpossibly makea fool of urself, showing you cant hadle such yourself

2.) the other dude will not be likely to talk this over in public.

there are exeptions of course...

Then 2 ways are open to you...

1.) Ignore the t|_|rd and forget the entire incident.

2.) Write him a ingame mail (if you have his username) and try to contact him that way.

I for one would ignore him

If he wants to talk about it, he will contact you.

EDIT:

btw, you wrote you were in a B-Wing... which ship was he in?

If it was something other then Bomber or POB then he was clearly a incapable pilot. The B-Wing is easily outmanouvered through it´s incredible sluggishness.

I am almost willing to bet that he thought you were an easy target, due to the ship you were flying... and found out he had a good pilot as enemy. Could not cope with being the looser and hence unloaded his anger in the form of that cr4p he gave you in a tell.

He was in a tie...could have flown circles..around me...was new to the B-Wing...didnt realize it was such a cow of a ship....the guns are the only saving grace...

TIE? What kind of TIE?

1.) TIE (Normal one. Noob Ship)

2.) TIE/In (Heavy version of the noob ship)

3.) TIE Interceptor (Counterpart to the A-Wing)

4.) TIE Bomber (Counterpart to the B-Wing)

5.) TIE Advanced (The first decent TIE with 2 weapons, but not usuable until Tier4)

6.) TIE Oppressor (2 weapons, 3 Ordenances, Deadly as hell, Master Ship)

If he was in any of the first 4 ships, then he might still have been a newbie and hence unaware of the repercussions of space combat. Which would explain his outburst...

Allthough lack of wisdom is no excuse for harassment or slander... but a common reaction nevertheless sadly.

There was one day, I was crafting in my YT1300. As I'm puttering around, I see:

"So and So challenges you to a duel"

ok.... I think, well, lets pop in a seat and take a look-see

bottom turret, no one visible

top turret, ahh there he is, floating about 50m off my port topside.

I turn the gun toward him to get a better look at what turns out to be an unpainted dune lizard. He's pointed right at me, and when the gun moves, he inches closer....

*sigh* if he hadnt a come closer....

Last night was a better example of what should happen in game....flying around in a my revamped Bwing..(changed some guns and what not) came across a dunelizard (sp?)did not do anything..just flying...then he sends me a duel..., well i accepted....i unleased my 4 guns on him and boom....he blew up quick...(wish the bwing was faster) anyway...sent him a tell and he was actually very jovial about the whole thing...I ended flying wingman on one of his tier3missions...and left him a standing offer to grind xp on my Nova...
