Thread: When's It Gonna Blow??
Hey,
There's been a bit of confusion on the boards about the hitpoints relating to ships' chassis in Jump To Lightspeed. I've already found out that, as ships get destroyed and repaired, their hitpoints decay gradually. However, I distinctly remember a quote from some devs that ships will *never* be destroyed, and that the only way a ship can be destroyed is to go into your datapad and delete it yourself.
However, if ships do gradually decay in hitpoints, won't it eventually reach 0 and become useless/destroyed? Doesn't that contradict the earlier statement that ships will never be permanently destroyed? The only other explanation I can think of is that a ship's chassis stops decaying at a certain point. A minimum condition that, after reaching, the chassis will cease to decay. My guess is that it would be 1 hitpoint. Please clarify this for both myself and the community. It is a very important, though easily answered, part of Jump To Lightspeed.
Thank you
