When I get (5th Nov) and install my JTL,
Do I get a new character (same server) slot?
Or
The opportunity to change to one of the new species??
Why?
Cos I would really like to try my hand at being an Ithorian, but if I am learning to fly, I wont have time for a while to grind back up to Master Tailor/ Master Merchant.

Neither.
JTL lets you start a character on a server that does not have one made, or if you have a jedi then you can create your second character this way.
