Thread: Privateer ships, eh?

This question is burning a hole in me.
Where did they get these Privateer ship designs from????
I have played all the x-wing series games and there were some really cool private ships in those games (frantically looking for the disks)
Why are they not in the game instead of some eager beaver art department unrecognisable Ships that no-one gives 2 hoots about.
How about the "Moldy Crow" for the top privateer ship, as featured in the "Jedi Knight" games piloted by the lovely Mara Jade???????
Give the Privateers some cool ships for goodness sake

Hmm...never played any of those games. I only know what's in the movies and books. Aside from that, I give at least a half a hoot for them.

Yeah, I was kind of disapointed with SOE when it came to the privateer ships. First we got gyped out of the Firespray because of the people who would have whined like hell. Now we got ships that we've nevers seen before.
But then again, I am pretty content with a few of the designs. I like the way the Kimo and the Black Sun Fighters look. They have a nice Star Warsy feel to them. But I would have also liked to have seen some ships that we've seen before in previous games and/or movies, like the StarViper, E-Wing, and several EU ships. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that we'll have many many more ships added in the not to distant future.
Oh yeah, the Moldy Crow was piloted by Jan Ors, not Mara Jade... I never played Mysteries of the Sith, so she might have in that game, but as far as I know, it was completely destroyed when Kyle was making his way to the Valley of the Jedi.
