If they are not chips with programs from your (space) faction you can not transfer them to your datapad anymore since the last patch. But i think it is a bug and not meant to be. So my best guess is that SoE will fix this... at some time or annother

You don't have to transfer them anymore. Right-click the AstroMech and select "Program Droid". This will bring up the new Droid Program Selection interface, where you'll be able to select from all available programs, including those you are carrying on disks. The only problem with the new interface is, that it does not tell you the size of each program.

Ya I spent about a half a hour trying to figure out how to do it last night. Found how to do it by bringing up data pad and going that way like the other person posted. Also they kinda show how much room each program takes up on the right of the loaded side, although it would be nice to show the actual number ammount they used.

Same trial and error alst and I found the program interface as well, however...once in space and all night long doing a lot of traveling, the abilities menu/astromech tab was completely void of any commands. I had 7 or 8 loaded on the ground, but nothing in available in space. Couple of other people told me they had same issue, anyone else?

Seems the FC was not in my ship post patch. Corrected that last night, but got something I have seen before: in the ship management tool, the loaded FC has red lettering in the menu on the left. Is this a problem and if so what is causing it?

Mine is red too, I'm pretty sure that's just to bring attention to which one you have loaded.

Correct. It turns red when it's loaded into your ship.

When items are broken (like clothing being reduced to 0) they turn red. I think that they should turn Green like other equipped items do, It just seems to make sence to me.
