Thread: Armor Hole in Space or Instant death bug?????
Dorian' Hunter
BRIA
Mission is to destroy some imps and Firesprays.
I had disabled the Firespray and the Imp (Advanced or Agressor, not shure).
I had destroyed engines and reactors at both enemies- no other ships where around.....
I tried to dock at the imp ship, just for fun.....
My ship exploded, but nobody had shot at it, all my ships stats where absolutely unscratched, even the shields where at maximum.
I had reactor overload 3 and shields to front running at this time.....
I have NO IDEA why my ship has exploded at all, but thx for the decay..........
Looks like we have something like an armor-hole in space too.....
/bugged in game
I saw no other playe near me, but maybe it was EPULSE 3?

I seiorusly doubt you actually hit the dock key.... I have a feeling you bound a key to the escape pod, and used that instead. Am I right?
I'm thinking this too. You said "no other ships were around". There has to be another ship around to kill you with epulse3.

I though this too, but as I looked in option, the escape-pod is binded with a key far away from my docking button.....

Well, one thing is for sure. It wasn't epulse3, or any other armor hole or other some such bug, as you say there was no one else around.
One expanation that does come to mind, however, is lag. It could be that your target damaged you more than what it initially showed, then, when ther server sync'd with the client, it updated and you went boom.

Hm....Interresting theory....I'm never under 210....maybe this could be something......
Something weird happened to me up there...something very weird.

I have had EXACTLY the same thing happen when attacking a Rebel Gunboat in Kessel. No-one around (I have a macro to do an enemy player check every 5 seconds when I'm overt) and I was just settling in to that magic 520m range to start hammering the GB when **!!BLAMMMMMM!!** I'm dead and staring at my screen with a slightly bemused look on my face. There was absolutely NO-ONE near me, neither PC or NPC, it was just me and this GB doing something I had done dozens of times before. Even IF I had lagged and got to close to the GB, my 4.6k of extreme forward shield would have stopped enough shots for me to turn tail and run.

Thanks.
Maybe THERE IS more about it, then you think.........
