I've been having a helluva lotta trouble with the first mission Captain Denner sends you on (escort some imperial engineers in the endor system). Seems like evry time I knock one of the waves down to 1 ship andother 5 spawn, till I've got 15 ships on me. Is there any chance this can be soloed, or do you have to have some friends? any tips/strategies would be appreciated.

Yeah, I had the same problem for a long time, until I got someone to fly with me. Once you have a wingman (at least one...more are always better), you'll have no trouble.

You can also choose to disable the craft instead of destroying them. This has several benifits. You concentrate damage in one location and therefore speed up the battle (quicker to disable than to destroy). Also, there might be a counter in play that will spawn new ships as soon as you get down to 2 or less from the prior spawn.

Ultimately though, unless you are a superb pilot with incredible components, you will want to be grouped to complete the higher tier story missions. I have personally flown on all of the Storm squadron tier 3 and 4 missionsmultipletimes in order to help out guildmates and to do my own missions.

Ive managed to solo storm squad up to 4 3 4 3 and its not easy by any means (and theres so many escort duties its deespressing) my advice is if u cant kill them fast enough just disable and move on.

grouping to do missions is one of the best bits of JTL. even just working with one wingman is a laugh.

I was having he same problem you are. I know that some players can Solo this mission but it was no thappining for me. The tier3 A-wings were terring me up in my TIE/IN. once I had a helper get me past this missin and I could use the Agressor I could solo 5-7 tier4 A-wings on me at the same time. Same equipment diffrent chassis. The mission is just not set up to be fair for the TIE/IN.
